In the bustling town of Phandalin, a young girl goes missing one night. The adventuring party is drawn into a strange dreamlike world by the whims of the Raven Queen. In order to escape, they must help the girl fight the very things that spawn from her imagination.

A two-hour adventure for 1st-4th level characters.

Escape from the Fortress of Memories was originally performed by the D&D 5E actual play podcast, d20 Dames, for the Podcasts of Foes special (Season 1, Episode 12) through Wizards of the Coast in conjunction with the release of Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. The cover was designed by Jen Vaughn.

I am really excited to check this adventure out, I've had a lot of fun with the last two, but there is no download link in my library after purchasing. Also I agree, that is some awesome cover art Jen Vaughn captures that "Vault of Horror/Tales from the Crypt" feel perfectly while adding a little flair all her own.

Thanks Kat, it's working now. I really enjoyed "Into the Shadows" part 1, Brittany as Karen had me cracking up! D20 Dames has quickly become my favorite non-physics podcast ever since I heard about it on The Adventure Zone.

Would it be ok for me to use these adventures for a play by post game on the Dndbeyond forums? I can't promise to be as hilarious and heartwarming the Dames, but I think Trouble at Tresendar Manor would go really well in a Terry Pratchett inspired Phandalin city watch campaign I am working on. I would be using the map drawn by Meris if that is ok. I would of course credit you and will once again recommend D20 Dames to my players. I obviously wont be making any money off it but I wanted to ask because it would be posted on the Dndbeyond forum.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
