Exotic Traditions: Energosophy & Toxinology

In the pages of this small supplement you’ll find the description of two arcane traditions different from the ones included in the PHB, and also very less common than those ones. ‘Standard’ fantasy worlds have very few wizards specialized in Energosophy or Toxinology, and the access to the related lore is often difficult, prohibited, or both.

ENERGOSOPHY

Wizards specialized in Energosophy have a deep knowledge of the various kinds of energy forming the multiverse, and are consequently able to manipulate virtually all kind of dangerous energetic phenomena fueling spells and creatures. They are very learned and flexible spellcasters, focused on twisting and adapting their capabilities to use elements in order to improve their defenses and take advantage of enemies’ weak points.

TOXINOLOGY

Venoms and poisons have no secrets for the wizards versed in the ancient and arcane tradition of Toxinology. This arcane tradition teaches how to manipulate dangerous substances to obtain maximized effects, especially when mixed with magic energies. A toxinologist wizard is able to master exotic spells related to poison and also to modify standard spells into venomous weapons of destruction.

The product includes also small suggestions on integrating those new arcane traditions in Eberron, Forgotten Realms or Ravenloft, and also a new cantrip.
