A 4-7 hour adventure for characters level 1-4.

Duergar raiders have attacked a secret gnome outpost. During a desperate rescue mission, adventurers encounter giant snails, a net full of gnomes, an octopus, a sealed scriptorium, death, a ruined birthday party, a berserk construct, a haunted letter, and much more.

UPDATE (JULY 2019): As a thank-you to everyone who has purchased ATTACK ON COPPERCOIL, this title has received a complete facelift, with an all-new layout, several additional pieces of art added, and a few encounters tweaked based on player feedback. Enjoy!

This adventure includes:

- new monsters!

- a new poison!

- two new magic items!

- six handouts for your players!

- Optional additional content: encounters with a hungry displacer beast and a competing party of evil adventurers!

Written by Tal Aviezer, edited by R.P. Davis, original artwork by Carolyn Fox. Layout by Anja Svare.

"I'm deep into this with my party and they are loving every minute. The prep is minimal and the encounters very engaging. I found it easy to slot into my ongoing travel campaign." - Paul Bimler, author of Platinum bestseller D&D Solo Adventures: The Death Knight's Squire & other awesome solo adventures

"Not only do I rate this adventure 5 stars, but it is a must have and worth every penny. As a debut author, Aviezer has positioned himself as a masterful content creator, and I cannot wait to see more of his work." - Ryan Langr, dmlevelup.com

"This adventure offers a lot of opportunities for players who like exploring and interacting with their environment. It’s cleverly detailed and shows the potential of a site-based adventure...It does a lot of things right, and it presents an intriguing situation for your characters to explore. Recommended." - Merric Blackman, merricb.com

"This adventure truly contains some great encounters, and is set in a fantastic location that the characters can interact with in a variety of ways to help keep the session fun and inspiring. The NPCs presented have a lot of detail which helps bring them to life, and I think most players would get a real kick out of the adventure." - JVC Parry, JVCParry.com

“Attack on Coppercoil’s superb environmental storytelling make this low-level rescue mission into a giant tree stump memorable and compelling.” – Eric Watson, roguewatson.com

"At its core, the module is a deep exploration extravaganza...Simply stated, go buy this adventure." - nonzerosumgames.com

The Girl Who Woke the Dead

The Girl Who Woke the Dead

A 3-4 hour adventure for 3-7 characters of levels 1-4

In Faerun, magical acts of resurrection are reserved for the rich and powerful. Hired priests perform them in rituals, wherein diamonds are offered up as payments to deities in exchange for the power to bring the dead back to life. When a young woman starts performing these miracles for free, will you stop her or save her?

Are you running Lost Mine of PhandelverDragon of Icespire Peak, or another campaign set on the Sword Coast? Has a character met an untimely end? This adventure provides a quest that could lead to a chance to bring them back to life.

Khyber Khronicle 09

KHYBER KHRONICLE VOL 09

Paladin: Oath of the Trickster cover

PALADIN: OATH OF THE TRICKSTER

"I vow I'm up to no good."

A different kind of paladin subclass and a new way to right wrongs.

The Oath of the Trickster calls upon paladins to preserve the sacred mysteries, to speak truths to the powerful, to mock and humiliate the arrogant and oppressive, to bring hope and joy to sufferers, and to foster wonder, surprise, confusion, amusement, and enlightenment.

Includes everything you need to play an Oath of the Trickster paladin from level 1-20: tenets, oath spells, channel divinity powers, the Aura of Mystery, and special high-level abilities.

I just ran this for my players, and they really enjoyed the whole thing (especially putting the boots to Nell and her crew). Out of curiosity, what is Baywin Badsyrup working on. His notes and connection to a necromancer indicate something to prolong or restore life. I imagine its left open ended so that a DM can plug in whatever they want, but was there anything you had in mind when you wrote the adventure?

Thanks for the kind words! I did leave that intentionally ambiguous so the DM could decide, but in my head Badsyrup and his rival Whitechurch are both working on a way to achieve functional immortality - one through alchemy, the other through necromancy. Badsyrup mentions having created a Potion of Longevity which is as close as he has gotten to his goal. I have an adventure in the works which I'll publish someday wherein Whitechurch appears and adventurers will have a chance to learn more about him.

Getting ready to run this for my friend's birthday party, really looking forward to it!
I have a question though what is in the center of area 2? There's a 6 by 8 square area with various symbols. I can't for the life of me figure out what it supposed to be...

Hi, Shaun! See Area 8 in the text. It’s a gnomish hopscotch board painted on the ground by children. Nearby there is graffiti of Silas the octopus which is a clue for the adventurers. Adventurers who come to this area to investigate the game board drawing may be ambushed by the duergar on the other side of the gate. Hope this helps!

I am currently running this mission, LOTS of fun so far. But I have a little question. On page 10, the text says there are rope ladders leading up to Areas 3 and 4, and a solid wooden ladder leading up to Area 7. But what about the ladder leading up to the platform around Area 5?

In my game, this detail has become surprisingly important. The sniper is defending himself while reinforcements arrive. If that ladder is made of rope, he can presumably cut it or pull it up.

If you could clarify this small detail, I would be thankful.

Hi, Jeffrey. I'm so glad you and your group are enjoying Attack on Coppercoil. I intended that ladder to be a solid wooden one, and I apologize for not indicating that. Since this adventure has earned a medal, I plan to release an updated PDF this summer and will be sure to add that clarification. However, if in your adventure you would prefer it to be a rope ladder that the duergar can cut or haul up, please feel free to play it that way. Thanks!

Looks like a great adventure! I really like that it has a feeling of being more than just one battle after another, and I'm looking forward to running it. I purchased this in PDF format and was wondering if it is available in Fantasy Grounds virtual tabletop format?

Thanks for the kind words! No FG version I'm afraid, but there is a hi-res player's version of the map included that will work for VTT use.

Hi, Marcin. Attack on Coppercoil is not a solo adventure, and is not in any way advertised as one. It's an adventure for 3-7 characters of levels 1-4. If you're looking for a solo adventure, I would recommend "The Death Knight's Squire", "Savior of Sharn", or "Dark Sorceries".

It does seem to be advertised as one, an issue with the search engine

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
