Just got this an seems the logical setup would be to add this in after dragon heist. I have yet read all through i thought before I leave a review but are their other modules it ties into like TOD of TSK? thank. The sand bow nature makes it feel like it could really fit anywhere, I do wish there was a roll20 mod for this, Any other resources for this as I plan on tunning this asap. Seems like a gamethat can have any of the other moduesl fit in. Looking forward to running this but may play first. DO you have discord for this adventure ?

I would love to do a roll20 export for Yearning to Breathe Free but I simply do not have the time currently.

I can look into primers for other campaigns. Yearning to Breathe Free could easily be folded into and run concurrently with Princes of the Apocalypse, Storm Kings Thunder, and Tyranny of Dragons with little work. It assumes the events of Out of the Abyss occurred in the recent past.

Hi! I have a question about the general premise/lore that goes into the foundation of the Hellfire Hearth Order. In specific, to this point right here:

"Since its inception, the Order of the Hellfire Hearth has ventured into the Underdark to
liberate enslaved tieflings and to protect the mothers of unborn tiefling children. In the wake of the Demon Lords running rampant through the Underdark, hundreds of women were left carrying tiefling babies."

So drow women getting pregnant from demons makes sense (some go out of their way to do it), usual the offspring is something weird like a Draegloth, otherwise I would suspect a cambion to come from the union. If for some reason they are giving birth to tieflings they would be Abyssal tieflings given the demonic line. So they wouldn't have any ties to hell or devils and it would be weird to align themselves with an organization that puts Hell right in the title.

Is this explained in the full Yearning to Breathe Free...See more

Kylie,

Thanks so much for the interesting and not weird at all question. The short answer is “DM Discretion/ it is not fully explained”

But below is a bird’s eye view of things implied/hinted at in the text of the campaign (and a slight glimpse into the way I see the events playing out)

The implication/premise that Yearning to Breathe Free operates from is that in most cases, the drow women are pregnant with tiefling children. There is no explicit explanation for this, but one can take a number of approaches including:

1. The demonic taint of the faezress did something wonky to make the drow women pregnant with tieflings as opposed to Draegloth/Cambions.
2. Who knows why? Finding out could be a whole side quest.
3. SURPRISE: They’re Draegoloth/Cambions.
4. Whatever the DM decides is best.

As to the aligning of the offspring, the implication is that because these drow women were not in control of/summoning the demons in...See more

Thanks Travis!

It does help to see to know that just cause they are called Hellfire Hearth doesn't mean that they feel any sort of tie to Hell.

I love both tieflings and drow so all this crossover of details triggered a lot of questions for me :p

Thanks so much for the thoughtful and detailed response! I'm looking forward to using this group when I run Dragon Heist in the future!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
