Virtual tabletop dungeon maps from the classic TRS module "D1-2 Descent Into the Depths of the Earth". It's intended for online play, but it can be printed out and used on the tabletop.

The digital download includes 8 maps:

  • Tunnel Encounter - JPEG file with the resolution of 1,350 by 6,600 pixels.
  • Encounter 1 - JPEG file with the resolution of 1,950 by 2,400 pixels.
  • Encounter 2 - JPEG file with the resolution of 1,950 by 2,100 pixels.
  • Encounter 3 - JPEG file with the resolution of 1,950 by 1,800 pixels.
  • Encounter 4 - JPEG file with the resolution of 2,100 by 4,200 pixels.
  • Encounter 5 - JPEG file with the resolution of 2,100 by 2,250 pixels.
  • Caverns and Warrens of the Troglodytes - JPEG file with the resolution of 10,500 by 6,900 pixels.
  • Shrine of the Kuo-Toa - JPEG file with the resolution of 10,500 by 6,750 pixels.

The maps are designed with a 5 ft. grid, which corresponds to one inch at 75dpi. You can divide the pixels by 75 to get the number of squares for roll20 or other virtual tabletops.

If you want to print it out there are some great guides online for just that. Search for "print dungeon maps".

These maps look great. Can you give me an estimate for when the last of the GDQ maps will be released? I'm definitely planning on using your maps to run that adventure path. Keep up the amazing work.

Thanks for the purchase! If you mean the "Vault of the Drow" it should be online in a few days, "queen of the Demonweb Pits" will be online in a few months. 4 at most.

So what's the current estimated release date for vault of the drow? Did something happen to delay the release? I'm really looking forward to the other map packs being released.

It's done. I've just had some trouble uploading to DMs Guild. I've reached out to them and it should be sorted shortly.

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
