The Witch - A 5E Class

The history of the Witch is one maligned with claims of dark pacts made with even darker spirits. Claims of its amoral practitioners dancing round a bound sacrifice under the moonlight. These, for the greater part, are more often than not flights of fancy - which like most whispered tales of old, retain the shades of an obfuscated truth. Yes, Witches exist. They do not melt when doused in water, and most are not green. They are not all women, and male Witches are not called Warlocks. They fly at night, but only seldom on brooms. They sometimes draw their power from ancient spirits, but they also draw it from nature, from artefacts and sigils. As a collective, they don’t serve some eternal evil, and they rarely use sacrifices in rituals. Yes, some of them fall to the old powers, hoarding magic within themselves, corrupting their forms - turning them into Hags - but most exist to quietly explore the Wonders of the world, travelling across planes, and planets and oceans to visit the ancient places, where lingering powers older than comprehension yet dwell.

I have the same problem that was already reported: there is not download option after purchase, and the link redirects to this page.

Hello, I just noticed that there seems to be a problem. I will reupload it right now and see if it works. Thanks for making a notice of this. It originally worked when I updated it, but I am not an expert on how this site works so something might have changed in the meantime. Please try again at the earliest convenience and let me know if the problem has been solved.

It won't let me download the PDF. The link to download just sends me back to the purchase page. Can anyone provide me with a working link? Thanks!

Hello - sorry the delay. I had a rather busy week. I will see what I can do. Did not really think people would like to print these kinds of things.

Just started reading it and for their Spell Casting feature the Witch class prepares a number of spell equal to level+proficiency, but prepared spell casters (Druid, Wizard) prepare a number of spells equal to level+ their ability modifier used for spells (Int for Wizard, Wis for Druid). Was this difference intentional?

Hello, sorry for getting back to you only now. I thought that since the class gets quite a few spells as always prepared - using the level+prof will give them a statistically 'lower' amount of spells at lower levels, while then giving them a higher amount at high levels, when the class turns into more of a utility class - and could do with more spells. So at lower levels level+2+Two extra cantrips and 3 extra spells. And At higher levels level+6+Bonus spells. Does this make sense? It was just an idea, but I am open to change if it makes no sense to anyone else. Thanks for your input anyway.

First time uploading here. If anyone downloads this, feel free to give me any feedback. This is mostly just for my homebrew game where one of my players is testing it out. Also, since this is my first time uploading - let me know if I made any grave errors. I will be on the lookout myself, but help is always appreciated.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
