THE PRIEST PLAYER CLASS

Introducing The Priest, a unique class that has a play style that feels somewhere between the Sorcerer and Cleric classes, enriched with archetypical flavors reminiscent of a popular MMO, presenting a powerful alternative to Clerics and Druids in your tabletop RPG adventures. This class fills a niche that the standard offerings in the Player's Handbook don't cover, bringing to life the often-mentioned but rarely explored concept of priests as heroic adventurers. These are not your typical Clerics; they are individuals blessed by their deities, wielding divine power with the same fervor and dedication but through different means.

Discover the Priest Class: The Priest offers adventurers the opportunity to explore divine magic in a new light, with a focus on three distinct paths: The Disciple of Shadow, The Holy Disciple, and The Disciple of Discipline. Each path provides a unique way to channel divine energy.

The Priest class allows players to weave innate abilities with spells, creating powerful attacks, formidable defenses, or unparalleled healing powers. This versatility ensures that the Priest is a valuable addition to any adventuring party, capable of turning the tide in battle, fortifying the group's resilience, or restoring health and vitality to weary travelers.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • A Unique Class Option: The Priest stands apart from traditional Cleric and Druid classes, offering a fresh and powerful approach to divine magic and adventure.
  • Uses the Cleric spell list for a player tie to familar spells from the outset.
  • Three Distinct Paths: Choose from the Disciple of Shadow, The Holy Disciple, or the Disciple of Discipline to tailor your Priest's powers and abilities, each offering a unique style of gameplay.
  • Versatile Role in the Party: Whether focusing on offense, overt healing, or support, the Priest is designed to be a force multiplier, enhancing the capabilities of the adventuring group through strategic use of divine magic.
  • Ideal for Diverse Adventures: The Priest class is perfect for players looking to explore the role of a divine adventurer in a way that the standard classes don't fully encompass, adding depth and variety to the game.

Experience the role of the Priest in your own campaigns, and bring a new dimension of divine power to the table. Whether championing the causes of their deities through unholy shadow, holy power, or divine discipline, Priests are a testament to the diverse ways in which the gods can manifest their will in the world. Embrace the path of the Priest and discover the boundless potential of divine magic.

NOTE TO DUNGEON MASTERS:
This class has been tested quite a few times for balance. The nature of a healer when added to any party, is a force multiplier. While this class more or less has a balanced action economy, the class is quite powerful. This class is to healing, as Monks are to control. That said, they are not invincible, and are more vulnerable on their own. If you want to put your group through something difficult like Tomb of Annihilation, this might be a good fit. If you want to put your group through something like Lost Mines of Phandelver, this will probably turn things significantly in the favor of the players. I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being S tier but not quite broken, this class is probably a 9 or a 10. Great as a UNIQUE NPC Class, if anything. Use at your own risk! Have fun! :)

I love everything the priest brings to the table without detracting from other classes. Playing with my group the priest has been able to help in combat and healing without making the other classes with similar traits feel inferior. This is a great cla [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
