ADD TO WISHLIST >

AN AQUATIC ADVENTURE, WITH A PLANAR TWIST!

The characters are welcomed into a planar castle as guests of a powerful water genie whose skin is broken and scarred by painful looking barnacles. The genie has been afflicted by a dreadful curse and is willing to bestow a small fortune upon anyone brave enough to aid him.

To save the genie the characters will need to dive into the ocean and explore a reef tainted by vile magic. Below the waves the sea witch is plotting her next evil exploit. Can she be stopped before it’s too late?

Hello James P. I like the theme of this encounter but my players are level 11 at the moment. Is adapting the story and encounters to a higher level done easily with your creation?

Hi William. You could certainly scale the encounters up for higher level characters, however the adventure provides no guidance on how to do so. I wrote this with first-tier characters in mind, so even if you scale up the combat encounters, you may find the exploration environment to be not challenging enough for a high-level party. I hope this helps. Good luck.

For some reason it will not allow me to rate this title even though I have purchased it. I will leave my review here...
(5 Stars): I started running Tides of Fate after Curse of the Sea Witch was available so my party could seamlessly transition from one adventure to the next. I appreciate the detail and lore in this adventure. The entire party almost got slaughtered by the sea anemone and the merrow. I allowed the Merrow to grapple the pcs with his harpoon and pull them within range of the anemone for a sense of immediate peril. However, they all persevered. My party and I thank you for wowing us with yet another amazing adventure. I cant wait to run “Jaws of the Deep”! Keep it up!

Hi Juan! I just wanted to thank you for the kind comment. No idea why it will not allow you to rate the title, but I really appreciate the 5 star review! I love your story about the sea anemone house. Having the Merrow pull characters within range of the deadly anemone is brilliant and savage! I am so pleased to hear you and your party enjoyed the adventure. It is both inspiring and humbling to read such a positive message. Best wishes Juan, may your dice rolls be lucky and your loots be epic!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
