Complete Visual Class Guides

This Compilation Saves You 25% Over Buying the Four Guides Individually!

Are you a DM running a game for new players? Are you a new player yourself? Or does your mind draw a blank when it's time to level up?

The Complete Visual Guides are a series of intuitive, easy-to-digest guides to the D&D classes. They take the class information and features and visually reinterpret them so that even a beginner can follow.

Though these class guides are simple, they aren't simplistic. Beginner players can expect to have every option and all the information to make informed choices and thoroughly understand their chosen class.

This class guide includes the following:

  • A subclass survey,
  • A subclass overview with race recommendations,
  • A walkthrough of the cleric, fighter, rogue, and wizard classes from 1st to 20th level,
  • Level Up cards for each of the 35 subclasses,
  • Flavorful and powerful spell recommendations,
  • Reference pages of tips, tricks, stategies, and advice,
  • Four pregenerated characters presented at 1st, 5th, 11th, and 17th levels.

Great idea just wish that ranger was done too. The best part it will help my friends who have never played before get a better understanding of their class.

I live these visual guides. Does this manual have the visual guides for paladins, sorcerers, and/or Warlocks?

Reading Badger's comment below, i wonder if not then. Badger, i would buy if you had my classes!

Hey Adam,
15 months have passed since I bought this product and no new updates with reference to the remaining classes.

If you got bored with this series, or even just ran out of momentum please say. My players are clamouring for the other sheets and will make them myself if I know you wont be doing them anymore.

Of course I will also use that opportunity to try my hand at self publishing whilst I am at it :)

I'm really glad you like them. But I think I'm done with class guides for the foreseeable future. You're welcome to give the rest a shot. :)

cool I can probably strip the essence out of the pdf with copying it all wholesale and include a ''inspired by ..." comment is the blurb. Sound Ok?

Hey there Mary
I made a publisher account and here is the first link to the first try at a basic barbarian.
I had to make my own template in teh end as I could not edit the original PDF.

Heree is the link for it.
https://www.dmsguild.com/product/301832/Complete-Visual-Guide-to-Barbarians

I would value any and all feedback in terms of formatting, typos and book errors.
Once this has had some kind of peer review I will fill that class out.
All that is included curently is the basic Path of the Berserker Barbarian initially.

I'm very sorry they're not downloading properly. I just tried to download them on laptop, and they work just fine here.

I suggest you contact Technical Support. There's a 'Contact Us' button in the lower left corner of your screen.

I love these guides, It made our transition into 5e so much more clear. A bard class would be super helpful in the future.

Same it read as 12 classes :/

Quote from above "The Complete Visual Guides are a series of intuitive, easy-to-digest guides to the twelve D&D classes"

also from the set I just paid for, some fail to download [the printer friendly ones]

Sorry for the confusing language. This compilation contains guides to the four core classes (cleric, fighter, rogue, wizard). The quote you provided refers to the guides in general (including druids, for example, and those I plan on releasing in the future). I've deleted the word 'twelve' to clear up the confusing language.

And I'm sorry some of the files don't seem to be working. Is it all of the printer-friendly ones? I just tried to download them myself and they work for me. I don't know what the trouble might be. I'll dig into it and contact tech support.

EDIT: Just contacted technical support. Waiting for their response. You might want to do the same, so you can give them additional information, such as which browser you're using.

I just got this message from customer support:

"We are very sorry for the inconvenience. We just tested this product and did not receive an error.

"Please have this customer disable any firewall or download accelerator software as well as any pop-up blockers you may have and try their downloads again.

"If that doesn't help, they may want to try a different internet browser. We suggest you try the Firefox browser or Chrome browsers which almost always work with our site.

"If they still can't access their purchase, please have them contact us via our Contact Us button and we can look for another solution. Thank you for your business and please let us know if we can be of further assistance."

I still consider the pack a bargain. I have only looked at the wizard set. I like it a lot.

To put it most charitably, that particular line was poorly placed.

Does that seem fairer?

Also how about re-ordering the product so that all the schools are in groups 1 - 20 rather than spread out the way they are?

How's it doing? I'm going to get this for my own reference and for the class choice surveys, but none of my three brand-new players are actually playing any of the core classes. (I've got a sorcerer, a druid and a barbarian.) I wonder how many other folks might be in the same spot, and if your sales wouldn't go up with more options. Or maybe I'm just rolling a persuasion check in hopes of seeing more added! ;)

Hi Roxanne,

It's a Gold bestseller now, so it's doing pretty well! And it looks like your Persuasion check worked because I have plans to do the other classes. I released the druid guide some time ago, so you can find a link to that on this product page. I'll be making the others as soon as I finish the big project currently in the works.

Thanks for your interest,
Adam

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
