I am about to start this adventure. It looks very exciting, especially the alternate planes content. But I cannot figure out where on the Faerûn map the elven village would be located. I’ve found Shadowdale and the River Ashaba but I can’t find the Misty Trail nor Elven Crossing. Can you point me to a map that has all four locations or any source to help me out? Thanks.

Due to the popularity of my map for the Rotting Heart and many people requesting The outpost be done as well I have created it. You can check out a full-color map package of the dungeon from this adventure, "The Outpost" here: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/248788/The-Outpost-Map-Package

If you missed the first one you can also find the maps for the Rotted Heart here: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/247276/The-Rotted-Heart-Map-Package

I heard about this adventure recently and am interested in running it, but I have a question: what does it mean in the description that the adventure is AL-legal but player content within is not AL-legal? Is that in regard to the "original magic item?"

Player-facing content includes, race and class options, and spells. Magic items found in the adventure aren't included in that category.

I would love to leave an official review, but I just was one ran it not bought the mod. Its a really good mod overall. Its got 4 parts to it, and I think it could be done in 8 hours, but we took about 10 plus some socializing time. Very grim-dark as its Shadowfell themed module. Very thorough descriptions and unique monster and items. Good story line and role-playing opportunities as well as some good fights. I think there is a map missing in Part 4 but the description of the area is enough to get through to next map. Only con I would state is that there are two fights that keep the same creatures and that seemed a bit duplicative; however, no complaints from group and everyone seemed to have fun. I would give 4/5 if I could rate officially.

Confirmed through my local AL rep. I just completed the mod for my group in Miami.

It says something about "player content within"? Does that refer to the magic item described in the back, and if yes does that mean that said magic item isn't tradeable or usable?

I recently ran this for my group and before I did I created a digital full-color map of the Rotted Heart dungeon at the end and printed it out. This made the final dungeon such a blast that I decided to make the map available for everyone you can check it out here:

@authors - this is an incredible adventure with great flavor and flair.

Tiny feedback for the Skull Lord at the end.
Your guidance says that he casts Haste on turn 1, then Fear on turn 2. Those are both Concentration spells. Casting Fear in round 2 would cause the Haste lethargy to set in.

Hello Authors, I had a (spoilery) question.

The Skull Lord's first level spell list has some non-first level spells listed. Was this intended and should the non first level spells be kept and redistributed or is this an error?

Hi Authors,

I'm trying to figure out what an Ennuisis looks like. Google didn't help at all. Can you provide a description, or a picture?

I got the same feeling that it was a dog or some large dog-like creature from description and actions of Ennuis.

so there is final and v2

is final more final than v2? or is v2 the final final?

v2 is the one you want. The "final" version is a legacy file from before we fixed a few typos. I'll see if it can be removed.

Is it just me or am I missing something regarding the map for part 4? Is there supposed to be a labeled version?

After taking more time to read the material, it's not hard to discern what is supposed to be where in part 4.

When I ran this I put that info on the pages myself like you said its pretty easy to figure out once you read through it. I also included these labels on the DM versions of the full-color digital map pack I made for the ending dungeon.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
