CCC-SCAR01-02 Glister By Light

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The mining town of Glister has a problem. The latest caravan only arrived with a part of its supplies. Orcs waylaid them, took much needed goods, and are now making demands that the town return an artifact that is theirs, but the town is unfamiliar with. Help track down information about this artifact and possibly defend the city from an orc invasion!

A 4-hour Adventure for 1st-4th Level Characters

Part 2 of Kossuth's Kiss

Update: I have converted this module to Fantasy Grounds and included the mod in this purchase as well!

First of all, I really like the adventure and I’m very excited to run it this Wednesday. I ran the prequel, Corrupted Artery, a couple of weeks ago and got excellent feedback from my players, especially the ones who’d been put off by the lack of RP in other AL modules.

I’d like a little bit of guidance on how to handle the dagger acquired in Corrupted Artery. It’s description seems to imply that it might be the artifact that the orc tribe is seeking, but it’s never mentioned in the adventure. I believe the player who ended up with the dagger at the end of that adventure will be playing this week, and it seems quite likely that he’ll conclude, perhaps correctly, that the +1 dagger is, in fact, the Kiss of Kossuth. Did anyone else run into this? If so, can you offer any guidance on how to respond?

Thanks!

It is not the Kiss of Kossuth. It is a small dagger that is easily concealable, whereas the Kiss has the emblem of Kossuth on it. I am glad your players enjoyed Corrupted Artery!

I wasn't sure how best to contact you; this site doesn't seem to have any kind of messaging that I could find. I wanted to say thanks for the offer on the module, but I will pass - I don't mind chipping in a few bucks. I know you guys put a lot of work into writing these. :) I'll be sure to review once I run this as well.

Thank you for the kind words and again for the review; even if people don't like a module, it's good to know so we can make them better next time!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
