Hello. Like others have said this module it full of things that make no sense and obviously got missed during the QA stage if there was one. I also agree the Wastriliths make much more sense. I also echo the comments that none of the fiends have immunities to fire or any resistance to acid so they would never survive the Caldera. I definitely would play it that the fiends have resistance to acid to make this reasonable (perhaps due to the atropal). I would also allow characters that have just resistance to acid and fire to take no damage. Also has been mentioned the changes to the dragon are not consistent with an Ancient dragon. So I would put the DC back at 24 and up the damage to 13d6 fire and 13d6 acid.

I'd love to know who the editor/developer was, because besides questionable content choices... the stat block given for Dagon doesn't match the description in the text. (HP, armor class, spells, special legendary action; all differ.) Robert A, I'm surprised if you didn't ask to be Alan Smithee'd (I guess you don't have access to make/upload changes?) because there are great bones here but the editing leaves a lot to be desired. (Personally, I also feel that a few tweaks for consistency with the other DDAL07 tier 4 adventures would make this really shine.)

This was one of my favourite mods when I initially ran it, but the nalfeshnese always seemed really out of place. Prepping to run it again, and I come here and see they were put in instead of the authors preferred Wastriliths, which are the perfect creature for this module, both mechanically and thematically.

Mr. Adducci, whoever was responsible for this has done you a great disservice. My initial rating of this mod would've been a 4/5, but if it had had the originally intended wastriliths, and not the wildly out place nalfeshnese, itd have been a 5/5.

I replaced the nalfeshnees with Wastriliths. It makes so much more sense that way.

This was an interesting module to run, especially since it was basically all underwater. It was a little difficult for 'theater of them mind' situations, but still doable. I'll say my players had the most fun during the BBG fight as he was casting "dispel magic" (or attempting to at least) a lot. I was also able to bring and use my new kraken miniature to add to the gameplay.

Always interesting to force adventurers to survive in exotic locations, deep underwater in this case. With the crushing depth and constant threat of drowning appearent, what tricks of magic and cunning could they possibly use to stay safe? No dawdling allowed as they might not survive long.
The 3rd in season 7's climactic ending is one of my favorit mods ever. I personally enjoy the chance to see Ubtao's workshop and the tools of creation as opposed to constantly hearing myth after myth that never lead anyware.
Of course I do have 1 suggestion for any DM running this one. Give your players a 1 time use of an "Apparatus of Kwalish". Not an unlock of course. Just go ahead and play with it.

Characters:
Dagon is kind of a non charactor here.
Xuzgaal makes up for Dagon in spades. A scientist demon playing with there vary tool box of creation. He can build anything and is delighted at the chance to have his fun....See more

Prepping to run this mod this weekend, I notice all the monsters with adjustments to their stat blocks are listed in the adventure but not in their stat blocks. As a Dm this is incredibly frustrating, please add the changes to immunities, water breathing legendary actions ect. Also since the character is purchasing items from the Merchant prince do they need to spend 10 downtime days per item?

There doesn't appear to be a stat block for the Nalfeshnee in the mod, and I am assuming based on the info on page 6 it is a modified stat block. Can you give any input on what the modifications are? Going to be running this on Tuesday.

As originally written, there were Wastrilith's in the adventure but they were taken out during editing. That ability is a Wastrilith ability so it can be ignored.

Why not use the Wastrilith? Seems like a great enemy given the module’s setting. Also, the demons you used need a swim speed and water breathing, don’t they?

I see the part that mentions water breathing for the demons. Should they also have acid immunity? Otherwise, they’ll be damaged by the caldera. Also, the dragon modifications seem like they were pulled from the adult red dragon judging by the breath weapon damage and the DCs, but the text and stat block are for ancient. Seems like an inconsistency. And you multiple instances of fire damage under water - do the players get resistance to this since it’s underwater, per the PHB rules for underwater combat?

Robert, why take out Mordenkeinen monster out but leave another? The Wastrilith seems perfect.
In any case, if I wanted to use the Wastrilith, I can put them in for the Nalfeshnees (same CR). Any substitution for the glabrezus?

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
