Suggested Price $1.00

A full replacement for the 5e inventory rules, created to simplify inventory in a fun and interesting way. There are many roleplay scenarious involving inventory that can add depth to your game, but sometimes rules can get in the way, so here's a way to meet in the middle.

If you like what we do, even 50 cents is tremendously helpful to us, as we do plan on making more exciting content in the future.

Are there any other sheets to go with this? I like the ruleset and plan to use it, but unsure how my players should actually keep track of their "slots"

Hello Adam, thank you for checking our system at. Sorry, we have been hard at work on our newest non-5e-related project and have not checked back on DM's Guild in awhile. No, we currently do not have a separate sheet to go with it. Often at our table people keep track of their slots by writing them in the normal inventory section. Thank you again!

I was thinking about making my own inventory system but then I thought "hey, it's extremely likely someone has already come up with one that suits my needs" and lo and behold, here it is! I like it. Might tweak a thing or two as we play, but right of the bat it fits the bill quite nicely!

The backpack allows you to hold items outside of your hands. The inventory slots available are equal to your strength

Hey, I really like the idea of this system and I'm going to implement it with my new group. Just have a question on some details: How do you count quivers? Would it consume one of the base slots and how many would you allow carried? Two quivers and four scabbards would seem a little much, so I might replace a scabbard for a quiver, but allow two at ready position. What would your approach to this be?

I'll leave a review and rating as soon as we've tested the system to its practicality! But so far I really like it!

Oh hey, sorry I didn't reply right away! I've barely used DMsguild and couldn't figure out how to get here from the notifications inbox. Anyways, if we didn't write it in the rules, I am sorry for that mishap, but typically I rule that 1 quiver is free, and holds 20 arrows (I always count arrows as stackable), and go from there.

I'm also just glad that other people have enjoyed our rule supplement, thank you so much.

I'm one of the players of the guy who made this, so I thought I'd drop a review.
Personally, I am not a fan of inventory systems at all; I find them cumbersome, time wasting, and restrictive. However, this is one of the best ones out there I've seen. It gets rid of most of the math that bogs down play, and I still feel like I can carry most of the things I want/need.
4 out of 5 stars.

It is a good idea, but I would not include it in my game as is. I would just use Torchbearer inventory system.

Oh yeah, we've assume people would have their preferences. If you see this and have the time, would you change anything from this system to make it better? We've played with it quite a bit actually, but haven't had much feedback outside of our table. Thank you.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
