CCCHATMS01-01 Threatening Tides

ADD TO WISHLIST >

On the eve of Shieldmeet, the sunken Isle of Maos rises from the depths of the Moonsea, only to return to the water with the rising of the sun. But this year, the island does not sink beneath the waves, and destruction follows in its wake. A drunkard named Will Brightsong is somehow connected, and the adventurers must keep him alive long enough to find out why!

A 4-hour adventure for 5th-10th level characters

Threatening Tides premiered at Holiday Around the Moonsea in November 2017. It is the first part of the Song of Maos trilogy.

Maps for encounters and Adventurers League magic item certifications are included.

Hello and good afternoon to all. Brand new customer here, just purchased two P D F Modules. I have just returned from Pretz-Con in Omaha, where I participated in many exploits
and saved many a friend from peril. I received two valuable treasures. Quiver of Ehlonna during Threatening Tides Officiated by Leo Bravo and +1 Scimitar in Priory o2-"Pitfalls" Officiated by Austin Haffke. My real question is more of concern. I was not granted the Certificates for there magic items, almost certainly due to printing costs. Sure, you ask, I have it logged on my Adventure Log Sheet. But that is not trade able between players or at Fai Chen at Tri-Con or Nuke-Con the next conventions I am attending.
What ever will I do?? To get the card in my character's portfollio.

Well met, Darrell! I hope your adventures were exciting and fun, and I am glad to hear you saved those in need of saving! As to your predicament of a lack of AL certificates to show your worldly goods, that is definitely disagreeable. I wish I had a solid answer for you, let me ask about the Castle of AL. In the meantime, do you know why certificates were not handed out at the convention?

Darrell, a Voice of AL has spoken, and his words have brought enlightenment, if possible frustration. ;) Alan Patrick says to contact the DM or the convention and request a copy of the certificate if you need one. He does gently remind us that certificates are almost never truly needed in this enlightened days, but as you say, Fai Chen may prove problematic. I wish you the best of luck, and the best of adventures!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
