Tomb of the Mountain Splitter

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Hundreds of years ago a giant declared himself the Jarl of one of the tribes of Icewind Dale. Unbeknownst to them, the soul of a long forgotten dragon corrupted them and what they called home would soon be called a tomb.

Many years later a group of dwarves found the Tomb of the Mountain Splitter, after they paid their price on those halls, the map to the tomb and it's treasures were lost.

However the map has resurfaced, will your party be able to explore these unhallowed halls? Will they be able to defeat the Mountain Splitter once and for all? Will they be able to find the entraped dragon and destroy the artifact? Or will the curses of Colrath-kilrah escape the tomb.

Tomb of the Mountain Splitter is a 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons adventure for characters of levels 3-5, with scalabity up to level 10. It will take 10 to 16 hours to complete.

This product comes with 18 pages of content, a high quality map, adventure hooks, possible ways to continue the campaign, exciting new monsters and new stories in Icewind Dale in the Forgotten Realms.

I've read over this campaign and I have to say... It's very poorly written. It's under the assumption that the players have already played Storm King's thunder... Which had that been in the description. I wouldnt of purchased. The module is overall confusing while offering little to no guidance in series of events. It jumps around and you add in characters with no world building what so ever. I.e. The random Bard.. at the very beginning? Lets put this Bard here... no narrative, no real dialogue interaction. Wheres the world building? It could have easily gone, "The adventurers walk into the tavern and are greeted by the warm glow of candles in the room. In the back they can hear the melodious sound of Ferland the local "half-elf" Bard strumming at his lyre while patrons around are dancing and chatting with their companions. Upon entry they notice a shady female traveler that appears human. She keeps a hand on her side as she looks to be protecting something while enticing the locals to inquire about...See more

Also, try loading it to MS Word... Dear god, did you not proof read? Within the first page I've found so many typos.

There seems to be a lot of missing information in this module. Is it possible i got a bad download? Some of the pages are almost blank.

Update: It was the zip download of all files. I downloaded individually and everything is good to go!

Would be handy to have a version of the map (in the pdf) with the room numbers on it, for the DM.

Thank you for your purchase Infra and John!
Your request has been partially fullfilled. A DM version of the map with room numbers has been added to the product, an update to the pdf will be made in the near future.
I'm very sorry for the delay, specially if it postponed your plans on running this adventure.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
