Some mistakes I managed to find, Michael asked me to point them here.

The description on DMsguild itself has a mistake. It should "Now you have been asked TO help."

p.8 "plea rescue (+of) a group of missing adventurers"
p.8 in Adventure Hooks. I think it should be "plundered by adventuRERS"

p.9 3rd paragraph. I would add a comma after "at this point".
"pile of gold in the table", should be "on the table"

p.10 "the camp is a currently a hub". The first "a" needs to be removed.

P.11 "that it caught THE some of the miners off guard". Remove the the first "the"

"overseer Rusk asKED for volunteers"

"Blunt requests to access to the mine" - should be "blunt requests to access the mine".

p.12 "this trinket functions a war pick" -> "this trinket functions as...See more

I just ran this cold at Save vs Hunger 2018. They needed a dm for their overflow so I was "3 sentences in front of the group". I was given this module 20 minutes before game time. This appears to a 3 hour module. Since the map was not stapled to the module I let the group just see it. This appears to be a great starting modules for dms and players overall.
The dice game lets the players interact with each other. The hiring by the miner is okay. BUT, the manager not wanting the group to go down in mind seems to be padding and I just threw that out. The layout of map is great. I do like each hallway sets the next room. The goblin chief encounter can go either way of talk or fight. But if it goes fight there is limited room and I think with 12 + bad guys it could go badly. The swim to the two last rooms screams set up to next part of the trilogy, I dropped them. And most of the players were wandering how come swimming was the only access to the rooms.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the review and input. The module was written for a four hour convention slot with the characters asked to rescue some lost miners. I believe that this adventure delivers that story. Along the way the adventurers come across other clues and information that strongly suggests there is more going on down in the cave system. The last encounter with the doors will be part of one of the two follow ups I am writing for higher tier play.

As for the role play encounter towards the end the following text appears on pages 17 and 18:

"He speaks both Dwarven and Goblin. He has some limited understanding of the Common tongue, though there is a chance that any parlay relying on this language may result in accidental escalation of the situation.
He will recognize the Common but will first attempt to speak in Dwarven, and failing that then in Goblin. If neither results in any understanding between himself and the party, he will...See more

One quick update, I was referencing my final draft. After reviewing the final release the forms of communication is covered at the top of page 18. While the verbage is slightly different than what I posted above it basically says the same thing.

Thank you for the reply. Both times I have run this the players have enjoyed themselves up until the end.
To get up to those final set of doors and to be told you can't open them has disappointed them both times seeing as they have expected another encounter or them to lead somewhere. Maybe some kind of INT roll so they can figure out that they don't have what is needed would be helpful so they don't waste time trying the impossible.

If there are going to be sequels to this module, I would suggest checking out the 3 modules set in Thentia first. Similarly to End of the Line, the 2nd part of them ends in front of doors that open in the 3rd part. It would be nice to have the adventurers return with the miners, ask and search around for the 2 items in a second adventure then come back in a 3rd to see whatever is behind the doors and maybe see whats going on with the goblins.

Just want to give a shout out to Joe Abboreno the artist responsible for the art and cartography. This is Joe's third AL scenario he has done work for and his stuff is amazing. He, and Ben Siekert (another artist I hope to work with), are amazing at deciphering poorly worded descriptions and sample stick figure drawings to deliver spot on art.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
