Raiders & Dinosaurs

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Raiders & Dinosaurs is a supplement for both player’s and DMs, featuring new races and subraces, subclasses based around adventures in the untamed prehistoric wilderness dominated by dinosaurs. Short hints help placing some existing races and classes in such a world and giving them motivations to explore this savage wilderness. The bestiary supplies a vast list of new dinosaurs, marine reptiles, pterosaurs and dinosaur-themed monsters to use in such a setting. Features of this book include the following:

  • A Races section providing four new subraces, albino dwarves, wild elves, ghostwise halflings, and neanderthals, and one new race, the saurus-folk, itself with four subraces.
  • Four new subclasses: The Feral Thrasher barbarian who smashes his foes with bare fists; the bard college of Raiders, fearless treasure hunters and explorers of ancient ruins; the Time Domain that allows a cleric to bend time itself; and the Animal Trickster rogue whose Tiny beast partner aids her in in thievery and combat. Additionally expanded options for the barbarian Path of the Totem Warrior, that allow the barbarian to channel the spirits of the Tyrannosaurus and the Spinosaurus.
  • An illustrated bestiary featuring lists of monsters from other publications suitable for a world of dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures in addition to 53 new monster statblocks: 36 dinosaurs, 6 pterosaurs, 3 marine reptiles, many of which are suitable as companions for beast master rangers, and as familiars to summon with the find familiar spell, as well as 8 more monstrous dinosaurs.
  • An appendix of 14 prehistoric animals that lived alongside or even before dinosaurs.

I know it's been over a year since last update but are there any plans to add more to this or create a sequel?

Hi James, there isn't going to be a sequal to this piece. But I'm still working on new things.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
