Crypts Under Secomber

It's Thanksgiving weekend! In celebration, this title has been marked down by 33%! For more holiday savings, visit our Black Friday to Cyber Monday sale page.

A ancient crypt has been discovered underneath the town of Secomber, but the mayor is not allowing anyone to explore the ruins. A stranger to town is looking for willing adventures to sneak into the crypt and try and locate a book that has remained buried all this time. If caught by local authorities it means jail time. If they succeed the party will be facing an unknown danger that has remained sealed from surface for longer than anyone can remember. This is the first of five adventure in my series Unborn Immortal.

I have edited this document several times, but I am asking everyone who plays this adventure to provide feedback and corrections as they find them so I can improve the adventure.

Update June 8th : Additional edits. To make DMing easier I have gathered the monster stats, treasure lists, experience earned and maps placing them at the end of the module. I have also updated the font size as it was too big. Finally the text has been given a consistant look through the module.

Update August 15th : Updated the Secomber Map as well as addition error and grammer corrections.

Part two, Urshani of High Moor, has been written and should be available on DMs Guild by September 30, 2018. By the end of 2018, the Town of Secomber will be available, documenting the details about this new, updated Secomber.

Thank you for your purchase.

Found a typo from the preview - "Duvessa came to town several months ago. She’s known around town as being quite and a bit of a recluse..." I assume you mean "quiet". Seeing basic spelling errors and poor grammar (haven't seen any grammar problems in yours so far) in adventures puts me off buying them, and I know it's not a logical response because it has nothing to do with creativity. I mean this in a constructive way, I'm explaining something that might get in the way of your sales as if it puts me off, then it puts others off. A way around this is find friends or associates who you trust with spelling/grammar and let them read it. I've learned not to rely on myself (or MS Word) for spelling/grammar checking. I'm putting this in my wish list because it looks like it has promise.

This is why i’m asking for feedback. I’ve read it so many times I was no longer seeing the mistakes. I needed fresh eyeballs on it. I wish finding readers were possible for me, but at this time, it is not. I’ve not looked at it in a month (I’ve been hospitalized) so I’ll give it another read through and update the file.

Thank you Rick for your feedback.

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
