Rules and Encounters for Airships and Other Vehicles

You've done it! You've taken the leap, and bought your first airship. The thrill of excitement is nigh over whelming, untill a simple thought bursts your bubble.

"Now what?"

You've got some awesome airships, but how are they controlled? What sort of encounters will you face? What is the best way to integrate them into your campaign?

Have no fear, and look no further. Izzy's Guide to Fight and Flight is here to answer all your questions.

Fighting and Flying at its best!

At long las
t, part 2 of the Izzy's Airships saga has arrived!

Picking up where Izzy's Slightly Used Airships left off, Izzy's Guide to Fight and Flight offers 24 fully illustrated pages, packed with airship encounters, NPC's, battle maps, and the mechanics needed to integrate airships into your campaign.

Each chapter also features a short story detailing Izzy’s enigmatic past, and an assortment of pre-assembled and statted airship encounters, each with three fully illustrated pages detailing their crew, armaments, and their captains. It has everything you need to kick-start an aerial adventure!

But wait, there is more! The vehicle operation mechanics found in this book are not limited to airships; they are designed for universal use across land, sea, and air!

Izzy's Guide to Fight and Flight is a catalogue of rules and encounters, essential to any campaign set among the clouds. Unlike Izzy's Slightly Used Airships, this book is designed to fill the gaps in 5e's rules regarding the operation of vehicles.

  • 8 pages of of vehicular mechanics and their variants
  • 3 new spells
  • Updated spell lists
  • 3 high resolution, multi-storey battle maps
  • 3 new ships
  • 3 new ship captains
  • Updated stats for the DMG airship
  • My personal thanks and gratitude

Just bought this and reading it, noticed that chapter 1 page 4 is missing the page number and also the green note box is pushed into a third column on the page which makes it unable to be read.

That's odd! Something must have broke in my last update. I'll fix it first thing tomorrow.

Should be fixed now, if the problem persists, let me know!
I couldn't replicate the issue with the 4th page, but hopefully this new version will clear it up on your end.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
