Is the Loxo race only supposed to have the +2 to strength and no secondary bonus?

Many of these races have a smaller "point distribution" towards stats, and more towards their unique abilities. It is intended to keep the flavor and feel of the races without overshadowing existing options. If you want to add a secondary stat, +1 Constitution or +1 Wisdom would be well within their flavor. Thanks for the comment, John.

Hi. I was curious how the Bauriar was handled in this work. One of the great things about the old 2E version was that male & female were so different that they were like two races for one. I have been much less happy with a lot of the more recent attempts since 2E.

Male and female Bauriars are the same in this book. If you wanted to add the female stats as separate, I'd recommend removing the attack, and replacing it with a reflavored version of the Gnome Cunning feature. Thanks for the comment, Michael.

The shardmind description seems to mention 3 sub races but there are none in the race features. Is it normal ?

The Thought Builders, the God Shards, and the Shard Slayers are more like competing philosophies or sects than subraces. On a racial level these groups are the same, but they differ in behaviour, social structure, and goals.

Thanks for the comment, Sullivan!

In the Saurial description it mentions 4 subraces but only 3 are presented. Is this a typo or a leftover from a possible update that was later removed?

If you're using v1.3 you should see all four, the flyer entry is rather short (like the flyers themselves) so you might have missed it when reading. Thanks for your interest.

Just a question but was it intended for the gargoyle's stony exterior trait to be 8 + DEX + CON instead of 10 + DEX + CON?

It is intended to be that way. In a future revision it may be revised to 12 + Con, or a similar natural armor calculated another way. If you don't like the current one, feel free to use that in the meantime.

Thanks for the quick reply Brian. I realized that having 10 + DEX + CON is the same as a barbarians unarmored defense so it would make that class feature obsolete.

I love seeing support for new races. I'm a dinosaur fanboy, so I may have bought this solely for the Saurials.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
