Minor Magics

Minor Magics is a collection of 10 new spells for your 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons game. Read as the Wizard Fabulous of Waterdeep, member in good standing of the Waterdeep Adventurer's Guild, occasional mercenary for the Lord's Alliance, self-proclaimed Muscle Wizard, and suspected Harper Agent spins raucous tales of the use and misuse of magic and guides novice practitioners of the Art through 6 new cantrips and 4 new 1st-level spells. Printable spell cards are presented in the appendix, making it easier for your magician to add the spells to their spell books. Spells included range from the terrifying 1st-level necromancy spell Putrefy Wound, to the limited but useful evocation cantrip Bigby's Authoritative Hand.

I was reading the preview and I really don't understand why Agony has 1 min casting time, range self and duration is 8 hours? Isn't it a bit powerful for the cantrip? Int saves and 1d12 damage range self I think it means creature you see can be targeted and it is personally overpowerful for a cantrip.
And for the Blackbolt cantrip, 2d4 necrotic damage with 60 ft can be fine but plus constitution saves and reaps more hp from an enemy as you sacrifice your hit dice but gain temp hit point. It is way more powerful for the cantrip it can be 1st level spell but not a cantrip but if you don't have a hit dice to spend it is weak for a 1st level spell but it is okay for the cantrip. So I think that's too need some fixing.

Agony was a misprint, so thanks for point that out. It is one action and instantaneous duration, with a 15 foot range. For blackbolt, you don't actually have to spend the hit die, it is just the basis of how much temp HP you get. I'm uploading an edited version now. Thanks for the feedback.

So there already is a cantrip that does a d12 in damage (Toll the Dead) it does have a condition in that a creature must of taken dmg but that is going to be a lot of the time to be fair.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
