The Great Grog Games:

A Collection of Drinking Games & More!

Buried deep within whispers of the city lies rumour of a great game, a great drinking game! Entering it's third year, not so secret but not so public drinking tournament has opened its doors once more and the drinks and music are flowing. Many have come far and wide to see who might defeat the current reigning champions, the Blackford Crossing Gang, and become the champions of The 3rd Annual Great Grog Games! However, more than just games, a greater mystery may lie beneath the floors of the Greyhog Inn and surrounding it's proprioter, Hoggle Greyhog. A great alchemist and inventor, the old gnome is putting the final touches on his Masterpiece, a flesh golum construct of monumental strength and vitality that once complete, will allow him to transfer his consciousness thanks to his Eternal Machine and live forever!

In this adventure:

  • 1 x Group of 30+ Freaked Out Goblin Waiters to Fight (possibly)

When it says that the PCs will have their life secretly drained, is this something the DM should be keeping a tally of as the night goes on? I feel it would only be revealed if they take damage and you tell them their HP total is different than they expect. If PCs see HP draining right away they will be pretty quick to try to murder their way out.

Hi Taylor! This is really up to the DM. Allowing the players to "feel" that their life is being effected by the place fits the tone of environment but if a DM wanted to keep this entirely secret, perhaps even rolling for the players, there really is nothing stopping them. Alternatively, you could have the players roll their Constitution saving throw and then just not tell them the results, keeping track of it quietly as you go.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
