Fantasy Grounds 5E Coding Package (ITEMS)

Do you play or DM Fantasy Grounds D&D 5E?

These codes are a companion piece to the previous coding modules I did for Spells, Feats, Class Features, and Race Traits.

This package delivers all of the coding effects for the items mentioned for the PC sheet Actions tab in drag and drop format! DMs viewing the combat tracker will always know the status on any item, where the effects are applied, and who the person was if it is concentration. No more stopping your game to code items. Drag, drop, KEEP PLAYING!

Included sources are Player's Handbook, Elemental Evil Companion, Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, Curse of Strahd, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. Fantasy Grounds coding done right.

This is the key for those symbols:

(60) - Range - this will be a range in feet 30, 60, 90, etc.

(S) - Self - sometimes listed with a corresponding range

(T) Touch

(C) Concentration

(B) Bonus Action

(R) Reaction

(RIT) Ritual

($) Component cost

This will be a great time saver for players and ESPECIALLY DMs!

Hello Rob,

I'm looking for a way to have versatile weapons show buttons that could change the damage when wielded 2 handed. Have you ever coded these kind of effects in a package i could buy?

I believe there’s an extension on the forms called weapon handling or something a kin to that already.

As soon as you release the package with all 9 parts in it, my finger is on the "Add to cart" button...
The reason I want the package is to make it easier to update and stuff (one zip file). Also, just saying again, I would pre-buy "The Complete Works of Rob Twohy 2018" mostly sight-unseen, just to have one package and to avoid buying the same mod multiple times (as has happened to me with your stuff SO many times) I have the first Effects Coding mod (individual), then the Effects Coding package, then also The Complete Works of Rob Twohy 2017, So I purchased some of them 3 times.

ThanX Jerry! There's no way to "pre-sell" on DMs Guild, unfortunately, but don't feel bad, I gave George Lucas my money like 7 times or more for the same crap. I saw the Star Wars movie in the theater, then I bought VHS, THX VHS, LASER DISC, DVD, Special Edition DVD, Blu-Ray. I may have forgotten one or two iterations. LOL!

hi Robb, thanks for all these greats addons. I bought all the coding modules and I love them.

I do have an issue with the weapons one though. I do not understand how to apply effects.

Take the Longsword Holy Avenger as an example. I can apply the effect for DMG: 2d10 radiant but how can I use it to damage the targeted enemy?

I'm sure I'm missing something.

Daniel, I would suggest watching the video above. All the effects work in the same manner whether they're spells, weapons, etc.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
