Level Range: 11-16 (optimized for 13th level)

Adventure Designer: Dan Dillon

Adventure Description:  The trail leading from the Fane of the Whispered Fang has grown cold, but you can still taste the machinations of the yuan-ti in Chult’s humid, stagnant air. Because of this, you must venture deeper still into the jungle and petition the aid of an
unlikely ally—the fabled Ramshackle King. His assistance is crucial to the effort to save Chult!

Adventure Length: 4 hours

We (Wizards) recognize that some of the legacy content available on this website does not reflect the values of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise today. Some older content may reflect ethnic, racial, and gender prejudice that were commonplace in American society at that time. These depictions were wrong then and are wrong today. This content is presented as it was originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed. Dungeons & Dragons teaches that diversity is a strength, and we strive to make our D&D products as welcoming and inclusive as possible. This part of our work will never end.

4/5 has some balance issues, as written the party can long rest between every real fight so depending on your party they could moonwalk over everything. I made it so the seasickness of the boat meant their rest was only good enough to be considered a "short rest" it worked out pretty well.
The party murdered the poor arch-mage before it even got a turn (rolled a 2 initiative)

Now you're here. Now you're here. Now you're here.

Characters are whisked away to Ishau, an abandoned and flooded villlage to meet an Alchemist Grandmother Callandra. A short conversation and pointless combat immediately leads them into the jungles to the Court of the Ramshackle King, a primitive little settlement build out of lost shipwrecks and foliage. But don't stay long, there's some temple over there with a final boss.
While this isn't inherently problematic, this adventure feels a little unfocused as if using up a few really great left over ideas. But if you take your time to enjoy the scenery each location is a really fun place to be.

Characters:
Grandmother Callandra is so much fun to play. So welcoming and sweet, you can almost smell fresh baked cookies. Just find en excuse not to eat them.
Ramshackle King... Just because we've seen all of this before in every adventure from "King Solomun's...See more

JUst ran this today, as my first tier3 mod in AL.

Both me and my players loved it.
My players have kinda cakewalked through most of tier2, but as one of em said.

This felt just as dangerous as Tier1, but with a much more fun character to play.

I would love to run this again, and im now itching to run more t3 content.

Thanks to Dan Dillon from Adventurers League Denmark for a great mod.

So far this is my favourite of the first season 7 T3 modules I've played. Not sure if I'll get the chance to run any of them.

I'm noticing repeated mention of the sea sickness checks, and I think I might have to see about a clarification update to the module. The sea sickness bit is really only intended for people who stay shuttered below decks. If they spend much of their time above decks you should ignore those. Likewise I should change it to characters accustomed to sea life should ignore them completely, not just get advantage.

The idea there was to add a little touch of (bile) flavor to a voyage in rough seas for characters who aren't used to it, definitely not to create a slog of saving throws.

Hey Dan, have you considered uploading a v1.1 with minor corrections? Believe it or not, people are still running this as the season is drawing to a close; my (non-AL) party will be running through it in the next week or two. Besides tweaking seasickness, I can see another minor correction: in the first sentence of "B1. Mating Season," I think you mean "sea travel" instead of "land travel." It also looks like a couple of formatting errors (artifacts of change tracking in an original Word document?) slipped through, with random words underlined and in red. These are small nits to pick, but it'd be great to have a "definitive" version!

*Spoilers*
I have not had the chance to run this module yet, but have had the chance to read through it and prep it for the upcoming adventure league that I am running from my apartment. I would have to say that I am interested to see where they go with the teir 3 and teir 4 for the rest of season 7. I actually enjoy the fact that they are starting to add unique weapons that you do not find in the usual mods. Such as this one, with the frost brand. I look forward to commenting on how the table went after I run this module!

Good luck, I hope it works out well!

Be sure to review the Tricks of the Trade on the final encounter, a lot of people seem to be misunderstanding the setup. :) Basically, it's all one encounter, all the monsters can participate, it's not separate fights.

I'm not sure what you mean. The story award doesn't seem to be missing text, but the intention is it ends after you complete any other adventure after 07-09.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
