After an unfortunate months long delay with deadlines and scheduling, we have our lead editor going through this product and making the necessary corrections. We plan on having them finished within the next week. Our team often has to juggle a lot of projects with strict timelines, so again, I want to thank everyone for their patience.

Thanks so much for the update! I can't wait to get the print version!

WELL that's fantastic! I hope it's also balancing? At least just a bit, there were a few things that I thought needed a twice over. Love the options btw.

Any news on the update front?
Can't wait to purchase this as a POD, but really want the fixed version.

I've gone over this supplement and found it to be very good with exciting material. I'm waiting for an updated version to be released before I spend the money on it though.
Two classes really intrigued me: The Mage hunter (would like to see this balanced more, seems under powered), and the Dragoon (Finally a useful equestrian adept fighter that can bring his mounted tactics into melee combat. Might benefit from a balancing pass as well).
If this was Fantasy Grounds enabled I would have already bought it.

No updates to the product since January.
Inexcusable for something with that price point and is available in a print version.
Apparently they've all moved on to other projects, so buyer (especially potential Print copy buyers) beware!

8 days since I asked the question and still no response from the creator, nearly 2 months since he has said anything at all... this does not inspire confidence in making a print purchase :(

Still waiting on some edits as well as hit with an unexpected family tragedy IRL, so I don't always see the notifications here. This is all timed with a lot of recent releases that have deadlines attached to them. It's not something I normally feel the need to explain, but I figure it would be best in this case. All I can say is that we're all working hard as we can with the time we're given. Thanks for everyone's patience thus far.

So are the errors ever going to be fixed? I am still waiting to here from them on this before I purchase my Print copy. But I see no response since April 17th :(

Hi, just received my print version and have given it a read-through. Great book, and love the print option, but I do have one question. Did you mean to imply, by wording and putting them under the Critical Failures section, that Ability Checks and Saving Throws can already critically/automatically fail as a result of a natural roll of 1 or that that was the proposed optional rule?

Listed in AL content catalog as DDHC-TOA-14 for adventure ONLY!! None of the character content is AL legal.

Minor note I noticed, PotSacredKin and Divine Herald should get thier first 4th level spell slot at 19th level. That's how it is for arcane trickster and Eldritch Knight. Also, doesn't everyone already have proficiency with unarmed strikes? (PotCH) and maybe restrict the improvised weapon damage to 1d6 max? Great supplement! (Also con is way more powerful in 5e, maybe change potsk spellcasting to Cha?)

Could you list If the adventure is AL legal and its levels in the short summary?

Bottom Line Up Front: I'm happy I purchased the pdf and I'm glad I did not purchase the Softcover color book.

I have enjoyed prepping the adventure, but it can be frustrating when a room description describes people "engaged in an intense game", and then the DM subtext says those same npcs are sleeping. The good news is that these files can be scrubbed for errors and updated, so I'm overall satisfied with the pdfs. I'm glad the adventure is Adventurers League legal and I look forward to seeing more of this type of content. I'll submit my review after I actually complete the adventure with a group of players.

I have a question. I understand activating an runic augmentation is a bonus action. Does it have any Verbal, Somatic components?

Additionally can the Runic Fighter dismiss the an active augmentation as a bonus action.

Not going to lie, I got the PDF online for free. I'm sorry for not paying for it but I don't have much spare cash at the moment, you can contact me at if you'd like me to delete the file from my laptop, or if you'd like to know the link to ask them to remove the file from their website. I will not be posting the link where I found it as to avoid hurting the sales of the product.

With that out of the way, I just want to say amazing job. This looks and reads like an official D&D supplement, and it's definitely worth the price tag if you have the money. The classes I've read seem balanced and the Chult chapter seems like something straight out of Adventure's League. Loads of new features with interesting and unique ideas throughout and the notes are a very funny addition. I would highly recommend buying this book, and I know I will properly pay for it as soon as I can. Best DMs Guild item I've downloaded so far, by a long shot.

Were the errors corrected? I would love to buy it in print, but only if they were corrected

No. Since it reached platinum and it's sales topped out I doubt they care. Use the guild adept label to sell a few thousand copies and call it a day.

I respectfully disagree. Sorry for the delay. We've just all gotten fairly overwhelmed with a ton of new projects that also have their own deadlines. Not only are we planning on going through the book again, we also have some additional plans for this project, which we'll be announcing once we have it ready to go. :)

Hey Rich! Any idea when you can announce anything? I, for one, would like to order the print book, but like others, am holding off until further news develops...our print books don't get updated like PDFs do. :) Thanks, and have a great day!

Well, the comments on the editing combined with the atrocious ideas of critical fail/hit tables are enough to say I won't be paying money regardless of who it is that is involved in the writing. Too bad, because a lot of it looks interesting, but if I want crap editing, I can do my own fails.

Also would love to buy the POD but I need to know that it's gotten that editing TLC.

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
