Time Domain

A Divine Domain for Clerics in 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons

Gods with the capability to manipulate the flow of time itself are few in number, but their power cannot be denied. For most, time is the one true constant in a world full of chaos, and the thought of that constant being altered terrifies them. For others, being able to overcome the limitations of the multiverse itself is a fascinating prospect.

Whether for good or ill, these zealots devote themselves to gods of time, hoping to glean even a fraction of their patron’s power and give themselves enough time to make a difference.

This subclass was inspired by the unfortunate lack of support for clerics that follow a deity that controls time. It contains fully-developed information for Domain Spells, Channel Divinity options, and other class features. Included in this product are both standard and printer-friendly PDF files of the subclass, as well as a specially-made spell list for clerics of this domain. I hope you enjoy it!

Can I get a clarification on the phrasing of the Level 6 Channel Divinity - Time Slip? How many targets does it effect at once?

I feel like the obvious answer is One at target Time per 'Round Slipped', but I figured it would be best to ask for clarity.

IE: Declare bonus action - Channel Divinity - Time Slip on the Monk, who has run out of movement on their last turn, make them move 30 extra feet with Slipped Round 1, make the Slow Effect the Rogue one round less with Slipped Round 2?

I know saying it out loud it seems obvious, but I don't feel like the phrasing in the document is entirely clear.

Hi Hasan, I apologize for the extremely late reply!
Time Slip does not have a target; it is a global effect, pushing time ahead by a few seconds (1 round). Basically, if combat is on round 3, you skip ahead to round 5! Anyone who was still in motion at the end of their turn (used all their movement) continues to move, and anyone under a lingering effect is one round closer to being released from it. Looking back at how it's written now, I can definitely see some ways it could be clarified, so it may be time for a full update soon!

Time Manipulation is one of those abilities you really have to be careful when giving your players that sort of ability, so clear and precise wording for any of those abilities lest they be too powerful or not powerful enough.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
