Twitch Overlay - Wood Panels

Example mockup of the overlay

Streaming home games is becoming increasingly popular, especially when groups are already playing online using virtual tabletops. Recording sessions can help both the players and the DM recall details between games, share their games with friends, and even has the potential to provide a little side income just for playing the game you love.

Organize the chaos of VTT interfaces with an overlay. Meant for use with streaming software (such as XSplit), this pack comes with a few variants for the needs of your group.

Includes versions with:

  • 4, 5 and 6 Character Sheet spaces
  • 6 open frames for webcam use
  • solid base/no character frames
  • All variants have space in the top left for DM portrait and/or gamer tag; large open panels for game chat, maps and combat trackers

If there's a variant you'd like to see, leave a comment and I will see about adding it to the pack as well!

Really interested in the wood panel overlay like what you present above, however, are they editable? If so, I would like to tweak them every so little. For instance add my GM Logo, campaign Title, main background and webcam frames by adding; character/player names on top or bottom, stats along one side with the 2 other sides having just a thin border and the corner where the names and stats connect a shield with AC. I can provide the background as I have one already picked out. I am in the process of making my GM Logo and I have my campaign title already. So is this possible to tweak myself, or, what would the cost for you to add the things i suggested? I am a purchaser but it does not show it on my window. Sincerely Smackdown282

These are a set of PNGs and therefore not really editable. However, they are designed to take simple additions like character names and stats overlaid on the existing stat sheets, which can be done either using a program like Photoshop, or layered in your chosen streaming software.
With a different layout and new background, it sounds like you may be looking for something brand new and very specific to your particular campaign. If you are proficient with Photoshop (or other image editing program), feel free to use these as a template to design your own overlay! Otherwise, you can email me at and I'd be happy to talk about commissions.

What is the font that's used for this? I've been trying to figure it out and keep struggling to find the same font. Trying to use it for my stream and it's fantastic but having a hell of a time.

Hi! I've used Gabriola for the text and Adobe Garamond Pro for the numbers.

Hello, I just picked this up and I was wondering how you go about editing the character stats and also add the portraits in there. Thank you

Hi there! This overlay is meant for use with a streaming software such as OBS or XSplit. You should be able to layer in other images and text using your chosen streaming software. The areas for portraits and webcams are transparent, so this image can go over top of your webcam or portrait images, then the text for character stats would go on top of that. I'd have to know which streaming software you intend to use to give you more specifics.

Ok, so OBS looks a bit different from when I uploaded this a couple years ago. I should clarify this is not a theme, but a set of images you can choose from when setting up a custom scene. I believe you should be able to add the image to your sources window (+ button, them "Image" under the Standard options) and then add it to a scene from there. You should be able to add text and webcams (Video Capture Device) or portraits to it the same way.

If you need more specific guidance, this is a channel on YouTube with some great tutorials to help you get started:

These are overlays meant for use with streaming software such as OBS or XSplit. Your Fantasy Grounds interface would be layered below this overlay. A guide like this can give you more specific instructions if you need them:

Hope that helps!

hi Courtney
I noticed a mistake in the stats, it should be STR - DEX - CON, you switched the CON & DEX around

They are in a different order, but I don't think it affects the use of the overlay. If it bothers enough people, I can swap them around.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
