The Pirates of Senag Island

ADD TO WISHLIST >

An unusual pirate outpost on a small island is causing big trouble for the residents of coastal towns in more ways than one.

This adventure is aimed at a party of four characters of level 7-9 and can be inserted in to an existing campaign or run as a one-shot adventure.

Other adventures and resources written by Pete McDonald:

Undermountain Stand-alone Part 1: Down the Well: Explore Undermountain as a series of stand-alone dungeons and adventures!

The Green Knight: An encounter to test the character of PCs of any level adapted from the poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight."

The Manor of House Hippocampi: A short adventure in a creepy mansion, long abandoned

Easily able to drop into any coastal area and gives a nice dual accord to construct rumors to share "on the mainland". Would have liked to see a unique stat block for Chief Thundereye and Baron Charcahar included - since they were named NPCs. [...]

A fun and well written one-shot with great attention to detail. I ran it with my group of 5 level 7 characters. Pacing was great. I appreciated the many suggestions and options for when and where enemies might appear. Highly recommend! [...]

The product was well throught out, presented in a clean and precise manner. It allows for a very open environment for your party to move through with the world changing around them based on their actions. It took about my party about 6-7 hours to com [...]

I used The Pirates of Senag adventure as a one-shot for my first time as a DM. I did have to come up with a few town and npc names on the fly (so that my players had a reason to fight the pirates; they were hired by the mayors of the coastal towns) but [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
