The review tab won't let me post there so I'll post it here instead. Anyway, here are my thoughts.
The maps are beautiful and the city is well designed, the NPCs are well written and not as stereotyped or 1 dimensional as a lot of publications. The encounters are diverse and have give you many possibilities to play with.

I think that my main complaint really comes down to the formatting. Especially at the beginning but also throughout, the pages are very densely packed with words. It can make trying to read through it both difficult and frustrating. I found myself getting lost at the beginning because there is soooo much.

That being said, it's a lot of information about the area you are gaming in, so that can be super helpful for a new DM or someone who doesn't have their continent mapped out. All in all its a great resource and I will pull from it in the future

Apparently, the review panel is somehow bugged out.

However, before going on with the review, I have to state that I got a free copy of the file from Kurt, the author. Just so we're in the clear (though I have bought my own copy afterwards xD)
For being a first part of what I hope is a long and prosper campaign guide, it's good! The two parts of the city in question are recognizable and internally consistent, which is always a plus in my book, the NPC are not monodimensional gimmicks, plus a couple of the presented people offer some rather interesting plot hooks and investigation occasions that at a low level I always feel too much missing.
Joy ahead!

My only complaint, really, is more about nitpicking than anything else: the first part (pag 2-3), perhaps, would feel less of a wall of text if the register drew a bit more from the old epic ballads and sagas, as if it was the city's elder telling their old story at the bonfire, but this is just personal preference.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
