I snagged this after having bought and read through Fey Compendium I as the two books appeared to have been designed to work together.
This Sidhe in this book (Lords and Ladies) have the iconic Sidhe Shape ability but not the "Sidhe Weapons." Is this something that you are planning to update at some point?

Ha ha! It's funny that you should ask that! The sidhe have basically been an ongoing project for me for the last 5 or so years. I was never really happy with the Sidhe Weapons trait that I originally conceptualized them with, so I eventually decided to cut that in favor of allowing my DMs more freedom. I just haven't gotten around to updating Fey Compendium I yet, because a great deal of those monsters are still being reworked (and I also keep forgetting, sorry about that). But I quite literally just found a way to present the sidhe that I am finally satisfied with as of yesterday (quite literally yesterday), so a major reworking of the statblocks of all these fey (and some minor reworking of their lore) is imminent. I don't know exactly when I'm going to be able to update these products with that new approach, since I'm also focusing a lot of energy on my Spelljammer fey supplement, but I absolutely have plans to do so! In the meantime, I'll try to get an updated version of the sidhe in Fey Compendium I up, since...See more

Thanks for the explanation! I love your general conception of the Sidhe and I have been adapting it for my own game so I am very excited to see your most recent version of the concept. I assume that is going to end up in both Fey Compendium I and Lords and Ladies?

That's right! Considering how many sales I already have on this product, it seems like it would be a better move for me to simply update this product instead of publishing a new one, so I will likely just be doing a major revamp of this supplement, plus a more minor revamp of my old products with sidhe in them to fit the new style.

Also, I went ahead and updated Compendium I to remove the sidhe weapons trait for ya!

I have no idea if the author will see this, but I find I can't respond to their response to my review, so I enter it here.

Firstly, thank you for replying! I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to my review! And I feel the need to add, I did like several parts of this pdf, especially the Abriel, I found them neat!

In response to lore, I acknowledge the briar patch that is the lore of the feywild, which is part of why I felt that the least of my critiques. My most major gripe is purely personal, and relates to the Maiden of the Moon, whom I have been researching lately (actually how I found your pdf). Of what I could find, I noted that she is famed for her silver sword, as well as the ability to turn into a silver hind, both of which I was disappointed didn't make it into your version (which seems rather more modelled after the goddess Artemis).

With regards to Titania, I find that, while her teleport offers great mobility, it comes at the cost of 21-25 points...See more

My pleasure! Thanks for your advice! I'll definitely keep your input in mind for future approaches to Titania!

As for Baba Yaga, I understand wanting her to have more spellcasting, but she is supposed to be the quintessential hag. That means that she should be as iconic to hags as possible. That's why I'm keeping her spellcasting ability primarily reliant on her ability to create weird magic. Plus, 5e prefers to keep spells on monsters to a minimum, so I wanted to make sure that I only gave her spells that absolutely made sense for her and not clog up her statblock with excess spell. (also, on a minor note, Baba Yaga is the Mother of All Witches, not the queen. The Queen of Witches would be her daughter, Iggwilv)

Regarding the Maiden of the Moon, I found that a silver sword seemed both rather pedestrian and also at odds with her status as a hunter. You don't use a sword for hunting, you use a spear or a bow. As for being able to turn into a silver hind, I felt that it would be more interesting...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
