Sorcerous Origins From the Great Beyond

ADD TO WISHLIST >

From the Heights of Mount Celestia, the lowest levels of the Nine Hells, and the Infinite Layers of the Abyss come some of the most powerful and terrible individuals in all the multiverse. For many years, there have been few mortals brave or foolish enough to tread upon the domains of Angels, Demons, and Devils. Yet the same can not be said for the Inhabitants of the Great Beyond. For centuries, Angels, Demons, and Devils of all sorts have acted with impunity on the mortal plane, thinking themselves above the lowly mortal races.

Yet the bill comes due for those who commit the ultimate taboo: the coupling of mortals and otherworldly beings. For the offspring of such couplings prove just as poweful as their supernatural parentage and just as unpredictable as the mortal races have proven to be. These Sorcerers of the Great Beyond number some of the most powerful and terrifying individuals in all the multiverse, proving themselves great heroes and villains in equal measure.

This packet contains the following Sorcerous Origins for anyone who wants to add more diverse and interesting options for the Sorcerer Class:

-The Abyssal Sorcerous Origin: Take on the grotesque forms of the demons of the Abyss to shred and blast your way to victory!

-The Celestial Sorcerous Origin: Heal your friends and purge the wicked with the overwhelming might of the Heavens!

-The Infernal Sorcerous Origin: Ascend the Infernal Hiearchy of the Nine Hells to summon demonic minions!

These Sorcerous Origins have been playtested for balance in 5th edition campaigns using The Monster Manual, The Player's Handbook, and The Dungeon Master's Guide

CHANGE LOG

V 2.0--

Abyssal Bloodline: Made the Natural attack you gain at 1st level compatible with spells that require you to make a weapon attack such as Green-Flame BladeBooming Blade, or similar spells and fixed some formatting issues.

Celestial Bloodline: Changed the Healing Hands ability so that you may choose the extra cleric cantrip you gain and as part of the Purge the profane ability you may choose to do either necrotic or radiant damage (due to compatibility issues with the aasimar race) and gain the ability to deal additional damage to certain creatures with radiant or necrotic damage.

Infernal Bloodline: Changed the Devil's sight feature so that the darkvision you gain isn't added to any preexisting darkvision, readded the 14th level ability Hellfire, fixed the "Master of the Nine Hells" Feature to a new Feature called "Soul Monger" for balance and clarity purposes, added some additional rules to Soul Monger for clarity.

V3

Abyssal Bloodline: Changed the Unholy strike ability to gain the ability to attack once as a bonus action after casting a cantrip.

V4

Abyssal Bloodline: Removed the Unarmored AC from the Demon Spawn feature due to issues with power in relation to pre-existing sorcerous origin. Fixed a typo for the Bizarre Biology abilities that said while it was the 14th level feature, all the individual options stated that you gained them at 18th level.

Very nicely done archetypes for the sorcerer class. Very well imagined and well written. You can tell a lot of playtesting went into this, it melds nicely with the core rules and provides some unique and diverse options for the sorcerer class that was [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
