Cunningly Creative Corridors

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Welcome good Dungeon Master

Pull up a chair and browse these cunningly creative corridor ideas all fully explained, stated up, illustrated and ready for you to drop into your adventure.

The idea with the corridors is to avoid the players becoming complacent, or worse, bored, by featureless dungeon corridors.

With thirteen specific ‘trap and challenge’ corridors you can really switch things up on the players and catch them out as they nonchalantly stroll around between rooms!

The corridors dressing are little touches to make the corridors more interesting. Most have little mechanical impact on the game but they should generate engagement, conversation and story moments. And of course, as DM you have the power to add mechanics to the descriptions if you so wish.

What you get:

  • 13 cunning corridors fully described (including maps where needed)
  • 7 variations for the above corridors and 10 Options to provide you with even more choices!
  • 3 magic items nothing too powerful just fun items for the characters to find
  • 4 sets of monster stats including 2 new creatures
  • 50 corridor dressings to add flavour and variety which also come with 9 options – because choice is good!
  • 3 NPCs that you might find wandering the corridor - and two of them are looking for each other!
  • 10 Dungeon Story Hooks to get your players to send the characters into the dungeon!

Out of the thirteen fully described corridors ten of the corridors are suitable for any location. The contents and the ‘trap’ elements of the corridors could easily be put into mansion house, classic stone dungeon or something more exotic. The remaining three corridors are specifically set in a given location type but even those, with a bit of thought, could be changed.

The corridors come in a range of exotic flavours … ice, glass, hedge. The trap and challenge elements of the corridors include glass, lightning, acid, constricting cages, darkness, battering rams, pits … and music! (Plus a few other things I haven’t mentioned!)

Feel free to view the sample which will give you the contents and first corridor for free - I'm pretty sure you will like it!

By the way, here’s a fun fact - this is the only publication dedicated to corridors currently on sale through the Dungeon Masters Guild!

*Publishers, you are welcome to take and use the magic items in here, for free, when creating adventures or supplements for sale on DMsGuild or elsewhere. All we ask is a written credit. We hope our fellow publishers will enjoying making use of the content in here.

Enjoy and happy gaming!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
