Anagakok

Suggested Price $1.00

For those strong enough to steal them, the effluent energies of the spirit world hold immense power. Will you dare try to harness them?

As an Anagakok, you study the enigmatic powers of realms inhabited by spirits. What you learn allows you to construct objects fashioned of natural materials that let you bend the energy spilling out from the spirit world to your will. Your spells are studied, after a fashion, and prepared in a unique way, drawing from a blend of natural and pact-based arcana.

The primal fetish you build shapes your character.

Will you be an ominous soothsayer laying bare secrets with the Deck of Fortune?

Will you strike terror into the hearts of your enemies with the Fearsome Mask?

Will you plumb the shamanistic arts with the Medicine Stick?

Will you break the bodies of others without ever touching them by creating a Spirit Idol?

In addition to serving archetypes like the fortune-teller, herbalist, and spirit priest, the Anagakok includes variant options for becoming a Hathran, the mightiest of the witches of Rashemen. All of this, plus new Invocations awaits within! Get it now!

The only thing i see as a potential issue/mistake is the wording on deck of fortune says that you make the check against your own spellsave DC, meaning the more powerful you are the harder it becomes for you? Awesome work, though!

I plan in the coming months to update the appearance of the covers on all of my projects and part of that process will be re-reading, -thinking, and -evaluating all of them. I've already got a small list of issues like this for other titles, so I'll happily re-examine the Deck of Fortune to make sure it's operating as intended.

Is Hathran a homebrewed name? I've read in other sources where the witches of Rashemen were referred to as Wychlaran. Thank you

Some of the 3rd edition Forgotten Realms campaign materials use the two terms somewhat interchangeably. Having read precious few of the realms novelizations I can't speak authoritatively, but it is my interpretation that the term Wychlaran refers to a social/political position of power where the Hathran is a part frequently followed by those that attain that status. Specifically, I took the term Hathran from the prestige class of the same name that appeared in the 3rd edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting. It had a few different versions with slightly different abilities, so my Hathran is more of a synthesis of the spirit of the material rather than a direct translation.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
