"This was the most fun I've had running a module... pteranodon scooped up the dwarf the look on his face was priceless... the maps, cover art and just book in general were beautiful"

"We had a wide variety of classes and races and they all got a chance to shine... Honestly, I loved it. It was easy to narrate and all the information that was needed to look up was in the appendix or noted for the PG. in the MM/PHB."

"The adventure felt very easy to follow as a DM and I was really excited by all the possibilities that my players could go through... The highlight of the story would had to have been when our barbarian attempted to talk with the triceratops and made friends with an adolescent one."

Struggle in Three Horn Valley

A Dino-Wars adventure - vol 1

Survive the jungle, protect the ruined fortress, & save the lost tribe from a wretched band of pirates!

A survival based, 6-8 hour Dinosaur & Pirate themed adventure, designed for characters of 3rd or 4th level.

The Lost Island of Selu, hidden deep in a magical fog in the uncharted waters far off the coast of Chult, is inhabited by dinosaurs, lizardfolk, jungle creatures and savage tribes. The Paku tribe, who have lived in peace for as long as the eldest elder can remember, is now in danger of annihilation from a pirate menace.

The Paku’s only hope lies with a small group of heroes who have washed ashore. It will be their task to help protect the good people of the Paku tribe.

First, though, they must survive the wilds on the Lost Island of Selu!

i love this, i was wondering do you have any ideas how to connect it to the story of tomb of annihilation so it has some congruity when using them together? im using this module as a primer for ToA

So I'm about to run Struggle in Three Horn Valley. I noticed that the players can get their hands on a map of the lost island, but I'm confused on how they would get their hands on the map. This island hasn't been discovered yet and the party gets shipwrecked there. Does anybody have any ideas on how I could introduce the map that would make sense with the story? By the way, these adventures are great!!!!

Matt, This should now be fixed.

Though to do so I had to remove the map pack zip file and re-upload it. Due to its sheer size, it is still uploading, but that shouldn't inhibit you previewing or playing the adventure. It should be complete with the upload shortly in any case.

Regards

I'm reading through the adventure preparing for DMing a new game. I'm *loving* it! There are several references to a future adventure on the eastern side of the island... is there an ETA on that? It would be amazing to run them back to back, but that will probably have to wait for another run through. This is an adventure I'd happily run several times. :D

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for the feedback, there is seriously nothing better than hearing of people's enjoyment from one of our products, its why we do this :)

Dinos of Darkness is in the pipepine, however due to a large load of other products to be completed before it, its not likely to release until next year at this stage.

Phil,

I like this adventure, but can you include a copy of the maps without the grid layer for roll20?

Not a problem, in actual fact I thought I included it in the map pouch zip... I will get on to it asap.

Cheers!

Hi Albert,

The Raven's Map Pouch should have some additional gridless maps... unfortunately the ship maps were unable to be edited, and the isometric map the same.

cheers

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
