Chapter 6: New monsters! Stats for 25+ monsters, including the Styx Dragon, the Hellfire Wyrm, a new type of succubus, a golem made from angel parts and much more.

Chapter 7: Adventure plots, story ideas and campaign concepts putting all of this information to use.

Appendix A: 10 pages of new magic items! This has everything from the Codex of Betrayal to the Vallis Crystal.

Appendix B: NPCs! Stats for villains of various levels, including Moloch both in imp form and in his archdevil form.

Appendix C: Optional rules for using hellfire, a type of fire that bypasses normal fire resistance. This includes new spells and a magic item.

Question. Why is Asmodeous only a cr 26? If he is considered a deity then that should put him at cr 30 right with tiamat.

This is marvelous work. The only gripe I have with this book, is that far more devils recieve lore, but not stats. Is there going to be an expansion for the book?

Hey Sean, I read the discussion below about a Fantasy Grounds conversion. Is this still something that is being considered? If so, reach out to me on twitter (@Grimtainment), and we might be able to work together to have this conversion done. I convert PDFs into Fantasy Grounds regularly, so feel free to touch base and we can discuss any questions you might have.

Just purchased the Guide of Devils (21APR20018)
The file will not open. I'm getting an error message that the document cannot be opened, and is unable to be repaired.

you're missing the most important piece of any D&D supplement! The disclaimer o the bottom half of page 2!

It should be noted as well that Gargoth is later known as Gargauth and there is a great deal more information about him detailed in Powers & Pantheons as well as Cloak & Dagger among other sources. There is extensive discussion about him on the Candlekeep forums as well.

I like this immensely! I am a fan of devils and this was needed. My only gripe with this superb supplement is that it gives lore for more monsters than it gives stat for. Can we expect sequel or appendix?

This product is insanely useful for my campaign, I love it! Any word on the guide to demons? I have a hard time compiling lore and info on much of the abyss regarding specific floors and would buy that in a heartbeat.

I love this so much and it’s an amazing supplement and has led my group on some crazy adventures! Any chance you are still working on Emirikol’s Guide to Demons and if it’s release date is slated for the end of this year?

I'm hoping to have Emirikol's Guide to Demons out by the end of the year. I have most of the art and stats done. The chapter on the Abyss is really huge, takes up a lot of the book!

Hey, Sean. This looks absolutely awesome! Any plan to make into a fantasy grounds module? It sounds like this was a HUGE lift to create so I completely understand if you aren't. I might convert it myself for my own use in fantasy grounds and if you're interested, perhaps you can add it to as an option to pdf? Let me know what you think. I think I will pick this up either way. Too cool to pass up!

Bought it! OMG! It is huge! What an amazing reference book. Can't wait to review in detail and then add a review. Would still love to know your thoughts about a fantasy grounds module but the conversion itself would be a lot of work as I look at this. Thanks again for the wonderful product.

I don't know anything about fantasy grounds, but I can look into it. Right now I have an editor going through the book and I'll be releasing an updated, cleaned-up version of this book. I'm also working on the guide to demons. Thank you!

Thanks! I used a template off of this site, I don't remember the exact name. I use libreoffice, it's a bit of a pain.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
