The Grinning Frog is delighted to present for the inspiration of all Dungeon Masters out there a map page from the archives of legendary Rogue and Adventurer Jimmy the Quick.

The map is annotated with Jimmy's own thoughts outlining his experiences as he stealthed his way through this dungeon. It also says why he was there in the first place and whether he achieved his goal.

THIS IS MAP ELEVEN IN AN ELEVEN MAP SERIES … all of which combine together in one continuous story. Each map can be used independently but by owning all eleven you will see a story arch unfold!

Hopefully this combined series will help generate even more story and adventure ideas!

** In this map, Jimmy takes a vacation down into a new dungeon and finds more than he bargains for … **

COMING TOMORROW - MAP 1 OF “THE ELDER GOD DIARY” STORY ARC

What you see is what you get ... this is a one page map in 300dpi which outlines a dungeon with numbered rooms. Entry and exit points are marked and certain rooms have additional commentary from Jimmy. The other rooms are left unlabelled for you to imaginatively fill.

Whether it's Jimmy's comments that spark some gaming ideas, or the layout itself, I hope you gain some inspiration from it and create some great adventures for your players.

And yes, we at The Grinning Frog have decided to release one of these ... every ... single ... work day...(for a while at least) ... it's lucky Jimmy's been a busy boy isn't it!

Note - this is not a battle map - this is the kind of map you see in a published adventure. You can't print this and put figures on it. You can however print it just fine for reference on a single sheet of paper! (Print size is 6.8 by 3.8 inches or 17 x 10 cm)

Looks lovely on a 9.7 or larger tablet ...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
