ADD TO WISHLIST >

After the first expedition to locate an ancient tomb was prematurely ended by monsters, the Search and Locate Treasure Consortium is doubling down. Camp established, they are looking for adventurers to make their dreams come true, but the leader of the Consortium is hiding something. Will the characters be able to avoid the Man Slayer tribe that destroyed the first expedition, help Larazmu settle his internal struggles, and locate the tomb that they have been searching for without getting into Moor Trouble?

A Two-Hour Adventure for 1st-4th level characters

Optimized for five 2nd level characters

Written for and premiered at SALTcon 2017 in Layton, UT.  SaltCON is the largest Board Game Convention in Utah held annually in Layton at the Davis Conference Center with the "aim of bringing people together with games."

Is it just me, or is the handout mixed up?
On the adventure hooks it says Handout 1+2 should be calls to any members of Order of the Gauntlet or the Emerald Enclave, but the actual handouts seems to be notes from Sorrim and Larazmu?

Never mind, I got the point after a second read-through.

This is not a bad mod. Much like the first one I really enjoyed it, the only problem with this mod is that it is either the end of the first mod, or the start of the third mod. This is not a 4 hour mod by any means, it is just something that is super easy and really, it is best to play this right after the first part. That is the biggest flaw with this mod. Other then that, I am still enjoying this content very much.

I think I am missing something, but how many Ogres are in the last combat at normal difficulty?

I believe it is one Eye of Gruumsh and a single Orog.

That's the way I played it. The issue is that it never explicitly lists the creatures in the unmodified combat, and then includes altered tactics that the Ogres use at higher tiers in the same block of text.

As it turns out the two alone was fairly challenging to my players, so it was all good.

There are two copies of the PDF for the module here. Are they the same?

Also, the certs on all three of the adventures seem to be missing an embedded font, so the names of the items look pretty weird.

The certs are provided from the League, but we will return the feedback to them.
In the meantime you may want to try using another PDF program for those. I found they looked correct using Adobe Acrobat, but not when previewed in Chrome, or Google Drive.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
