Fantasy Grounds 5E Coding Package

Do you play or DM Fantasy Grounds D&D 5E?

This package delivers all of the coding effects for class features for the PC sheet Actions tab in drag and drop format! DMs and players viewing the combat tracker will always know the status of any effect, where the effects are applied, and who the PC is on the rare occasion that a feature has concentration. No more stopping your game to code features. Drag, drop, KEEP PLAYING!

Fantasy Grounds coding for all 13 classes (plus Blood Hunter, Defier, and Dragon Lord) done right.

Example:

Abjure Enemy

This package will build effects as follows:

Cast: WIS saving throw

Effect: Abjure Enemy; IF: TYPE (fiend,undead); DISSAV: wisdom (1 min)

Effect: Abjure Enemy; Speed halved (1 min)

With EACH feature that has or needs effects, titles are applied and concentration notes and times are provided.

Also for easier use for both players and DMs -

In the class feature titles, there will usually be symbols.

This is the key for those symbols:

(60) - Range - this will be a range in feet 30, 60, 90, etc.

(T) Touch

(C) Concentration

(B) Bonus Action

(R) Reaction

This will be a great time saver for players and ESPECIALLY DMs!

Just picked this up and really liking it, but I have a question for our Paladin.
Adding Divine Smite I get an Effect I can apply, is there a way to automatically apply the extra damage for using a higher level slot to smite with? I could code a "level 1 smite", "level 2 smite" and so on, is that something I'd have to do?

When you are dragging the damage, just right-click to add extra dice.

Following instructions here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?27331-Effects-The-Complete-Bard-Package, I coded jack of all trades as "Jack of all Trades; CHECK:[HPRF]; SKILL: [-HPRF], acrobatics, animal handling, arcana, athletics, deception, history, insight, intimidation, investigation, medicine, nature, perception, performance, persuasion, religion, sleight of hand, stealth, survival;", after adding half proficiency to every skill I didn't have.
In the forum, they add "INIT" at the end of the code, but that meant that the PC duplicated their half proficiency for INIT.
If the code looks too large, you can simply not write every skill into it, but you must not mark the half proficiency into each skill.

I think this would be a good addition to your code.

On the other hand, congratulations for your work. This has been a bless for programming the character sheets of our 10 players campaign.

They changed some of the mechanics, they are actually a bit simpler now, before they were a bit convoluted with the perma-life drain and other things, for example the blood rite now only does damage to you, and the feature lasts until you drop your weapon or the next time you take a short or long rest.

I have NOT removed the Blood Hunter (yet), but I also have NOT updated the codes to the NEW version. The reason is that the original Blood Hunter was converted to Fantasy Grounds by SmiteWorks themselves, but the new version is not, so...

Hi Rob, I had a question about the class-feature bardic inspiration. At the moment, when I cast it on someone in my party, you can see the effect is added. However when they make, an ability check, saving throw or attack roll the 1d6 is not added in the role. Do we have to role the 1d6 ourselves and add it to the modifier, or am I missing something about how to use this feature thank!

I figured it out by actually looking at the effect. Destructive wrath doesn't have any script behind it, so the gm needs to manually adjust the damage roll to maximum (or half maximum if the saving throw is made).

Hey Rob, just a quick question for you. I've dropped the files (class/spell/race/and feat codings) into the modules folder but when I get into the game, they don't show up in the library anywhere for me to activate. Just purchased/downloaded today so I know they're the up to date versions. Any assistance you can provide is appreciated so I can start enjoying these.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
