It's actually balanced because of how situational and limited the benefits are.

Feat design paradigm is different in 5th edition than it was in 3rd edition, and a feat has to be balanced against a +2 stat boost/+1 to two stats.

For example, the first benefit of both feats is highly situational since dead magic zones and wild magic zones are rare. In addition, it does not include anti magic fields, since those are not dead magic zones but rather magic suppressing zones.

For the cleric:

The second benefit doesn't give you information automatically, and it doesn't give you a higher roll than what you could normally roll like a bonus would.

The third benefit does not give you a free spell slot, it just lets you spend a spell slot to cast a specific 1st level spell that is situational for use on adventures.

The fourth benefit does not give you an extra prepared spell or access to a higher spell level - it requires that you spend one of...See more your daily preparations to use it. Hardly overpowered in 5th edition.

The fifth benefit does not give you a free effect - you have to spend an existing limited resource to use it, and even then it can be situational.


For the paladin:

The second benefit is situational for how useful it can be, because there are already very few creatures resistant or immune to radiant damage. You might never get a chance to use it for a reason other than "flavor" depending on what the DM throws at the party.

The third benefit is limited due to range and the fact that Divine Sense does not go through walls.

The fourth benefit is good, but also situational unless your DM makes you fight spell casters on a regular basis. Magical abilities that are not spells and extraordinary abilities of magical creatures such as dragon breath are not affected by this benefit.
