This is the stupidest and most convoluted method of distributing content possible. Requiring people to register with a completely different organizations website to get the basic material for understanding how to participate in AL is NOT THE WAY TO PROVIDE AN ON RAMP TO THE GAME.

Season 9 is out. Is there going to be an Adventurers_League_Content_Catalogue_v9.0.pdf anytime in the near future?

I don't see the S9 log sheet -- only the ToA one. Help?

Updated for season 9. However, there are season 8 documents that should be removed. Make sure you read the name of the files when you open them.

This. Lot of Season 8 docs that do not apply. This is a bit annoying.

Is this updated to Season 9 rules?

No. This is version 8.2. Version 9.0 is available on the Adventurers League website until the new Season 9 pack gets put up here.

Is there actually a DM guide in this pack? I am looking for the League rules for Dm, but only see Player rules and some DM log sheets.

The DMs Guide is a purchasable hardcover book found purchasable in stores online or in game stores. If you are looking for rules specific to AL I believe the Content Catalogue, ALDMGs (Adventurers League Dungeon Master's Guide), ALPG (Adventurers League Player's Guide), and DM Quests above can, hopefully, answer any question you might have. :)

As noted below, the file name for the Player's guide is not at all obvious. This needs to be fixed for newer players. Or older players. Or any players!

Are there any plans to update this product? The most recent version of the Content Catalog (8.07) that I have does not accurately reflect all of the adventures for AL play. Many of the adventures are missing from it.

The ALCC is under new ownership in the admin team and is currently being updated with the goal of being put out this weekend sometime.

Given that these items are generally intended for people who have never played D&D before or have limited knowledge of the game, someone just looking for the Adventurers League Player Guide might have a hard time picking this out of the bunch: FORGOTTEN_REALMS_-_ALPG_v8.2.pdf. Just name these with simpler names (Adventurers_League_Player_Guide_v8.2) and split out the setting items into individual downloads or put them in another bundle. This isn't user friendly at all.

Hi, this might sound a little dense... I've never DMed an written adventure, rather it's all been home-brew. When it comes to the adventure itself, I understand that there has to be a particular setting, but can I still create the adventure around it? Otherwise, it feels like I'm regressing in my story telling role. Thanks for your help.

Oliver - for your own non-Adventurer's League group, you can do whatever you want! For sanctioned Adventurer's League play, where your players keep track on their Adventure Logsheet and gain benefits from playing, no - you have to follow the adventure as-is. You can tweak it for your own style, but the main adventures are to be followed as-is.

Am I missing something or are there no character sheet’s in this pack?
I’m about to start playing my first AL game and got this pack to help with character creation as I knew there were limitations on what you could do. And I can’t find the character sheets.

Any 5e character sheet can be used for AL; there's no "legal" sheet.

I'm a new AL player and finding and learning the AL content has been pretty convoluted and the most frustrating for me. I have a friend that printed me a treasure and character advancement sheet that I am unable to find here or on Adventurers league website. Also not easy to find Tier 1 adventures so I can advance to play with the group I would like to play with that is currently at Tier 3. There has been a lot to learn and not all of it is clear. DM's have been helpful but I feel like there should also be OP events that solely focus on explaining rules and helping players get the resources instead of having to go to multiple websites and stores just to find information has been the most frustrating part of the whole process. I will say that I am still having fun I just wish it was easier to find information and that there was a more involved "How to get started" live session process.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
