Contianed herein are two documents, one to help generate realistic sounding city names and another to help produce some general features of the city.

City Names: In order to make the names seem as authentic as possible elements that might be used for city names in six languages are represented: English, French, German, Norse, Slavic, and Arabic. These tables can produce 36,000 unique names for cities, and many, many times more with simple modification, such as mixed origin names or including elements from names of important figures or gods in your world.

Update: Added Norse and Slavic origin name elements, expanded slovic origin tables

General Features: This document contains a number of tables including: city size and population, major industry, and a notable feature of the city. This should help produce or inspire a wide verity of unique cities for your adventures.

Mighty Avonafon, the metropolis whose primary industry is haberdashery, and hates chefs!

In all seriousness, there's good content here. I just don't know if I would want to roll on it rather than picking by hand.

Slavic and Norse city names in the next edition?

Lol, nice combination there. It is completely reasonable to pick by hand rather than roll. Those features are intended to be a source of inspiration, not a locked in absolute that must be followed.
However, you could easily use what you have there to make an interesting element to your story. For example, perhaps Avonafon (possibly modify the name if you don't like it) is a metropolis primarily run by guilds. The most powerful of these guilds produces expensive clothing from fine silks and there is currently an effort from the guild that represents the owners of local eateries to take away control, using shady underhanded tactics.
Norse and Slavic would make a nice addition to the list (just different enough from whats there to be interesting). I was also thinking of seeking out some other sources (especially non-European locations). It will come, but might take some time, as I have a lot on my plate now and this is just a hobby for my spare time.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
