So I checked in the preview for Sanguine Tide and I noticed that Lilorn's around the same trail that Phandalin's located and a couple more locations are placed somewhat near existing locations from the starter/essentials adventures. For a group who as finished Lost Mine of Phandelever and/or Dragon of Icespire Peak how can the GM introduce the Sanguine Tide's locations in a seamless way?

Hi Liron

I Have left it pretty open, just so DM's didn't have to work around any plot the party wouldn't be interested in. I guess ultimately as long as you can get them into Faebyth, the story should be able to go from there.

Perhaps by some carefully placed rumors, or perhaps they find a panic stricken youngster on their way past the road into Faebyth on their way back to Neverwinter? Perhaps even have an NPC from Phandalin ask the party to look into someone who is missing, or a supplier who is no longer receiving stock from Faebyth?

I purchased the entire arc, and without reading through all of them ahead of time, I have no idea who the faction is, what can be expected in each town in a brief synopsis, and other little things. So far, I have run my group through Part 1, and Part 2B. Questions were raised at the end of Part 1 from clues that were found as to what is going on, yet no explanations for the clues that were found were given in the adventure. I still feel like I am having to wing it, since I have not read all 9 separate adventures.
Some suggestions - perhaps a brief run through of the overall story, a DM's summary of all the arcs (Parts 2A, 2B, etc.) as well as a centralized write up for the main faction with things like goals, main players and where to expect them, etc.
I think that having a small 3-4 page DM's guide to Sanguine Tide would be immensely helpful to DMs.
As for player response - they are enjoying it quite a bit. I started them through Sanguine after we finished the Lost Mine of Phandelver, and being...See more

Dear B.B

Firstly, Thank you so much for purchasing the Sanguine Tide. It honestly makes me super happy that your players are enjoying this campaign.

I've read you're full response and although i would strongly suggest reading through the entire campaign for your own reference, I'm happy to create and provide a "cliff notes" document for DM's. I'm hoping you wont mind a few days turn around on producing a decently presentable document.

Thanks for getting in contact, Nick

Nick,
That sounds great, and I don't mind the wait considering everything. I especially appreciate you listening to the feedback, and I hope to be able to give some more as we go through the entire adventure.
Thanks again,
B

Hey, Thanks for getting back to me, i have included a very brief story that outlines events from the main character of the campaign, as well as a few pages of very brief notes, i know there could be more added however. Could you let me know if this is acceptable

Nicholas,
Thanks once again for this. The DM's Summary perfect for getting the overall feeling of what's going on, and being able to script out lore/information in advance for the players to uncover. Awesome job!

Steve, the first part can be started at level 1 if desired, it's recommended that you just add some highway encounters from Neverwinter if you want your characters at LVL 3 for the final fight. Personally I have run the final fight with level 2 characters a few times, they seem to handle it ok as long as they don't just stand there and taking hits

Hi, i purchased The Sanguine Tide part 1 and was wondering what level of party you intended this for? I was planning on purchasing the complete arc, but now hesitant, as the first adventure seems geared toward a higher level party.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
