MOD (Virtual Tabletop)
$0.99

I set off to make a better gemstone generator.  I broke each gem type into sizes and than calculated the costs and weights of each.  Than I put them into some linear scales for random generation. You should not need any other modules for these gemstones.

Each table is broken down into cost based on size. (Scale used by Lord Entrails)
Tiny is x1/2
Normal is x1
Medium is x5
Large is x20
Very Large is x100
Huge is x1000

Weights are adjusted as well based off the above scale.
I than took the tables for each price and linearly weighted each one. The higher the price, the less chance (a 5,000,000 gp gem will show up on a roll between 4,999,996 - 5,000,000)

I than took it a step farther and created story templates to generate 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 gems to help you find that hoard you are looking for.

I, myself, like parcels ready to go, so I created the tables for that as well.

Finally, maybe you don't know how many gems should be generated and want a random number ranging from 1d5 - 1d20, so I added that.

I hope you can get some use out of this.  If all goes well, I will add in art objects as well for the high class urban civilization campaigns!

Is there a defined link for the odds of gem sizes? I have rolled up tons of 50 bundles. it seems like 80+% of them are 5 gp gem.. the biggest I have seen is 1 250 gp gem. It seems to be too heavily weighted towards low end gems for me. I was thinking of modifying the odds but I wanted to see what the basis it was based on before I started modifying.

On the "Random Gemstone Generator", the odds are written on the notes for each level. It is definitely weight against the more expensive. You can mess with the odds and fill in your own numbers on the table.

thanks. I will play with the odds some. There are too many 5gp gems for my liking and my level 11 and level 9 group weren't impressed :D

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
