A Four to Six Hour Adventure for 11th-16th Level Characters in Dungeons and Dragons 5E

The Adult Green Dragon Valturnax has attacked the nearby village of Hartsvale, threatening to destroy them completely if they do not submit to his rule by nightfall. To save the town, adventurers must ascend the mountain by climbing through the caves housing the dragon’s minions and face him in his lair – and they need to do so before the sun sets.

This adventure is meant to be quite challenging. Enemies know the adventurers are coming and have had time to prepare, and they do so intelligently. This adventure draws some inspiration from Tucker's kobolds.

This was a blast to run as a two shot! We had 3 lvl 15 players and it was a lot of fun for them. A challenge for sure but a fun one! Loved it!!

During a break from our usuall Campaign we ran the adventure yesterday. Our second DM offered to run it (so I could actually play)

We were two mildly optimized lvl 14 characters (our other regular players were indisposed) and we found the encounters (as written) were no challenge at all.

Would love to know if you got someting for lvl 7 or 8 to lvl 13 ish. That range. This Tier 3 is really nice, but my players are 8-9, so just wondered if you had anything on that lvl?

Kinda proud, atm. Wanted to run a one-shot (which became a two-shot) that was very challenging and potentially lethal. Intelligent, prepared enemies. A short crawl to drain resources. Then a good hard dragon. My buddy Dylan suggested a fantabulous short from dmsguild called "A Dungeon and a Dragon". It was pretty perfect. It was pretty epic. Started off with a bang, then Tucker's Kobolds had them on their heels. Something, something then I was able to balance the final boss fight such that victory or TPK came down to a single Counterspell. They won. Fucking. Barely. Possibly the most rewarding experience in D&D I've had to date. As far as combat encounters goes.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
