Screams at Sunset - Adventure

"Ultimately, Screams at Sunset is an excellent adventure. I consider it one of Jeff’s best products."

"...weaves together mystery, dynamic combat, intriguing NPCs and engaging plots to create a cracking product!"

There are two versions of this adventure available at checkout.  You get all of the below:
A 4-hour+ adventure for a party of 4 to 5 PCs of level 2 thru 4 using creatures in the 5th edition Monster Manual.

A 4-hour+ adventure for a party of 4 to 5 PCs of level 4 thru 6 using creatures in the Volo's Guide to Monsters and the 5th edition Monster Manual.

Also, a Fantasy Grounds adventure for a party of 4 to 5 PCs of level 2 thru 4 using the 5th edition SRD is available at checkout.

Your party has just spent the better part of the day travelling in dismal weather and you've just located an appropriate place to camp when, out of the drizzle filled sunset, the terrifying screams of a woman can be heard through the patter of rain through the trees.

Great! You're cold, miserable, and now you have the moralistic compulsion to investigate and render assistance to a damsel in distress. What you don't realize is that morals and damsels always means more trouble than what you may be willing to pay.

Will your party survive long enough to see the dawn through the Screams at Sunset?

Screams at Sunset is an adventure for characters of 2nd to 4th level or 4th to 6th level. Approximate runtime is 4 to 6-hours. The adventure includes 3 maps, a Battle Stat Tracker for all encounters within the adventure, and an intriguing puzzle that without all the clues, could lead to a shocking conclusion.

The original cover image my also be used in the telling of the story.

Hey Jeff,
In the FG mod: Some of the links for the farm levels in the story pages are pointing to the runes for some reason. E.g. clicking on Farm 1 brings up the runes.
Thought you'd like to know!

Is the FG mod included in this download? Is there a separate download?

About to run this for 4 level 6 PC's and likely also 1 level 4. Will I need to beef up any encounters to make it enough of a challenge? If yes, any advice on how to do so?
If it goes well I hope to lead into The Throne of Bone.

Thanks Jeff, I will makes a couple of minor tweaks if it needs it. ;)

BTW on my second read through I noticed a couple of minor things. On page 17 of the higher level version of the PDF, at the bottom of the first boxed text "he raises his scimitar", I think this should be "he raises his greataxe" No doubt a hang over from the other version. Also I could not see a scale for the maps, although I have strong suspicion that it is 5' per square.

Is there a certain play order for the campaigns if you were going to play one after the other?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
