Six-shooter: Bringing the Wild West to D&D!

Six-shooter is intended for people looking to play a Wild West themed campaign using the 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. It is provided in four parts, the first three for players and the last for DMs/GMs, but you can pick and choose what you like from any of the rules provided.

This third part goes into more detail describing the setting. It offers examples of things common to Wild West narratives but less prevalent in standard fantasy scenes. It also provides an alternate to the traditional alignment system, which has more of an emphasis on interesting shades of gray, instead of strict moral and ethical codes.

Six-shooter presents a world where player characters are mercenaries working for a mysterious agency, ridding frontier towns of threats and hunting down dangerous bounties. It provides several downtime actions to help figure out what everyone does between missions and provides a set of rules delineating what things you can do to earn some nice, juicy XP (in addition to killing all the monsters).

Six-Shooter's new 1.3 update features a visual design overhaul, cleaned up rules mechanics, and minor tweaks and fixes here and there.

The other parts of Six-shooter are titled:

And you can also download the custom character sheet separately (form-fillable, printer friendly).

Thank you for your interest!

Any thought to adding some wild west backgrounds, obviously we can re-skin some existing ones. But i'd be interested in your thoughts on some period specific "professions" ones. Things like Gun Thug, Inn Keeper, Card Shark, Coal Miner; etc.
Either way this material has given me lots of ideas for my next campaign.

Thanks for the comment, and your review!
As for backgrounds, I don't think it's something I'll publish, but I have a (small) bunch that I wrote up a while back that are mostly period specific, if not specifically Wild West themed. I'll throw a link to the google doc here and you can take a look if you like. The reason I don't see myself publishing these is that I haven't written (and don't plan on doing so) the personality traits, ideals bonds, etc. sections for each background.
In fact, I'm not even going to proofread this, so proceed at your own risk :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
