Some few individuals have a true and powerful connection to their god - more than worship, or even devotion. They serve their god unfailingly and are granted strange, divine power as a reward. Are you one of them?

The Disciple is a new class for D&D 5e with multiple options for customization. Using the Warlock class as a mechanical base, adding Cleric domains, spells, and theming on top, one Disciple can be entirely different from another, based upon the deity they serve, and how they choose to serve them.

Choose from one of eight divine domains, one of three Gifts, and several Blessings, to become the ultimate mortal servant of your deity.

UPDATE: VERSION 1.2

- Reduced length of Gift of Presence to bring it in line with the Druid’s Wild Shape
- Altered Ascended Worshipper to bring it in line with the Warlock’s Eldritch Master feature
- Changed Divine Foresight (Knowledge level 14) so that it affects only one creature instead of any creature, and can only be performed once per long rest, but also gives said creature disadvantage on attacks against you.
- Changed Life Domain’s Distant Healing to avoid abuse in multiclassing scenarios
- Made Dazzling Light (Light Domain level 10) a once per short rest feature
- Buffed Natural Healing (Nature Domain level 10) and made it unstackable
- Altered Storm’s Fury (Tempest level 6) to be more useful for the domain
- Added extra saving throw opportunities for the target of Trickster’s Feint (Trickery level 10)
- Gave the War domain a free cantrip at level 1
- Changed the Distant Healer and Distant Resuscitation Blessings so their effects only apply once per short rest.
- Altered prequisite level from 15 to 9 for the Through Their Eyes Blessing to better align it with the 6th-level spell True Seeing
- Changed cantrips to provide more offensive options besides Sacred Flame
- Minor flavor text alterations
- Formatting changes, including noting when spells are from supplemental books

I picked up the Disciple, it looks pretty good. I'm reading through it slowly, but here's the first thing I've noticed. The Gift of Presence seems a bit strong. I think having it last HOURS is bad. Maybe a duration scaled in minutes would be more appropriate. Having a flying speed of 30 for 20 hours a day is silly.
Next thing I noticed was the Ascended Worshiper giving you all your spell slots and high level magic back. That's a problem. The Warlock, on which this class is based, does not gain that ability. If you limited it to just their spell slots, then this would be perfectly fine. You have to ask yourself; why wasn't this an option for the class originally? Because getting every spell back for a second use is ridiculous. Not even Wizards can get that many spells back.

Next, I noticed the Knowledge Domain 14th level feature is obscenely strong. Spending a Bonus Action to give yourself advantage on everything and give your opponents disadvantage on everything in turn is insane. There's a 9th level spell that does that. Bards need to be 17th level to give that to someone! And they do it once! You just do it all the time! Come on, man. This is the equivalent of an epic level ability. This needs to be removed immediately and replaced with something more appropriate.

Boosting the range of healing spells is ridiculous as well. They have such short ranges for a reason. In fact, the only way to extend them would be with the Distant Spell Metamagic ability. And this is for good reason. You'd have to invest multiple levels in Sorcerer to do that. Granting the ability to heal via Touch spell at a range is just crazy. If you're intent on making this a feature for the class, make it a once per short or long rest ability, not a passive.

Lesser Restoration is not...See more

I appreciate your feedback! I will take it into consideration in future revisions. I will definitely consider nerfing the things you've mentioned.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
