Seafarer's Supplement

ADD TO WISHLIST >

From the creator of Additional Archetypes comes Seafarer's Supplement, which presents 4 aquatic beasts, 4 aquatic player races, 8 subclass options, and 1 prestige class for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.

Aquatic Beasts. Stats for dolphins, giant sea turtles, stingrays, and electric eels are included.

Aquatic Races. Playable merfolk, sahuagin, bullywug, and kuo-toa races are included.

Primal Path: Aquatic Totems. Not all Path of the Totem Warrior barbarians identify with creatures of land. Options for Shark and Crab totems are provided.

Bard College: College of the Crew. Armed with a sea chantey and a knack for leading, these bards are primed to set sail on the high seas.

Divine Domain: Luck Domain. Clerics of the Hunt domain put faith that things will work out above all else, trusting in their gods to bend chance in their favor.

Martial Archetype: Skirmisher. These fighters dart between enemies, using their movement around the battlefield to exploits their foes' weaknesses.

Monastic Tradition: Way of the Wave. These monks harness the power of water, shaping it to protect themselves and attack their enemies.

Sacred Oath: Oath of the Code. These paladins adhere to a strict set of rules, valuing honor and duty to those they travel with.

Sorcerous Origin: Giant Heritage. These sorcerers are a counterpart the Draconic Bloodline. They have giant's blood in their lineage, and it grants them phsycial power and martial prowess.

Arcane Tradition: School of Dracomancy. These wizards acknowledge dragons of great power and look to harness some of that energy for themselves.

Prestige Class: Beast Master. A variant of the ranger's beast master archetype, this prestige class allows other classes access to a companion, and gives it a little more survivability and power.

The Way of the Waves monastic tradition is... kind of weak, thematically? Every feature except 6th is just granting water spells to use. I like the 6th level feature but that's really it.

I'd recommend doing something monklike with it. Monks are all about mastery of the body and movements emulating styles, so a "move like the waves" concept would have worked perfectly here instead of playing wizard.

Looking at the Full Size Preview, looking at the dolphin, it says it can only breath under water. This is not true, they are air breathers, which is why they have a blow hole.

Also the other creatures that are listed that have water breathing, say dolphin.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
