This a module for the Fantasy Grounds VTT software.

I built this because I wanted to have these effects on hand for every campaign I run.  So now I just open the module and WHAMO!  All the effects I need.  Instructions for use are in the module.

There are 200+ conditions and effects that will populate on the effects table so DMs can apply them to the Combat Tracker (and/or copy them to PC sheets if desired).

Examples include:

Divine Smite; DMG: 2d8 radiant; IFT: TYPE(fiend,undead); DMG: 1d8 radiant

EXHAUSTION: 1

Heavy Armor Master; RESIST: 3 slashing,bludgeoning,piercing,!magic

Proficiency 1; ATK: -1; CHECK: -1; SAVE: -1

Purity of Spirit; IFT: TYPE(aberration,celestial,elemental,fey,fiend,undead); GRANTDISATK; IMMUNE: charmed,frightened

Sneak Attack; DMG: 1d6

Tides of Chaos; ADVATK; ADVCHK; ADVSAV

Resurrection: -4 ATK; -4 SAVE; -4 CHECK

Great Weapon Master is generally applied to PCs as opposed to NPCs which this module is for, that would be in the CLASS coding module.

Does this have the effects for the crit/fumble table. One of my npcs got the weakened effect, but there was no way to apply it to the character. I couldnt even find out what that effect did.

Just a heads up, Im using Unity, and had to install it in "c:users app data roaming smiteworks fantasy grounds Modules" I thought I was misplacing it because I own both. Most of the instructions on here and provided in the readme are a tad outdated. So anything FGU goes in the above mentioned folder.

The reason I haven’t changed that in the read me is that unity users generally know that. However that is subject to change in the future so if I change the information now I just have to change it again so I’m waiting for final release of the software.

I' about to buy this and some of your other bundles but I have a question about updates.

After updates to official content is it possible to see if you've updated the package since my last download? Version number or something else? The site don't seem to have an upload/updated date on the product side either.

Updates are made ALL THE TIME. Sometimes daily, sometimes MULTIPLE times in one day. By looking in your library you can see the date and time of the last update. If you have more questions, come to our Discord server. Link in the credits of any of my modules.

Hi There! I bought this and I'm trying to get it appear in my 'Effects' window, but it's not appearing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've moved the module to "../Smiteworks/Fantasy Grounds/modules" and I've loaded the module via the Library. BTW, I'm using Unity.

Gary. Go to your DMs Guild Library and find the package you bought. There is a "2020 README". Take a look and you'll see what's up, you do NOT need to rebuy.

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to get a word doc or a pdf of the all the effect's names and effects? I just find myself lost in the sheer number of them available (the variety is obviously a great thing!) when I go looking in FG, but think I'd have a much easier time familiarising myself with what's available and what they do, if there was a text document I could quickly scan, or take the time to study a bit outside of FG.

Unfortunately, no such document exists. But EVERY condition and effect (we could think of) is there, you can use the search feature in FG to find what you need. If there is something you see missing we will gladly add it. Check the credits in the module and find the link to my Discord, we're always discussing these things every day, and you're welcome to drop by any time.

The "eyeball" icon on the right hand side of the "custom" effects window does not seem to have any affect to my being able to hide or show the condition/effect to my players. Regardless of the state the eyeball is in (on/off) the conditions and effects from the module are hidden to my players. If I create a custom effect, the eyeball icon works and I can hide/show the effect to my players. Can you advise how to get the same function for the effects in the module?

Making the effect visible or not to the players is done on the effect after it is applied to the combat tracker. You can click on VSBL or GM. If you need more help, feel free to come to my Discord. Link is in the module.

William. I did a recent update to that and it seems YOU'RE RIGHT! There was a malfunction (on my part) when I uploaded the file. I have corrected that. Fantastic module!
One question though, is it possible to add an effect like evasion but for str and con saves instead of dex? There's an item in the ravnica book i'm wanting the give one of my players and it would be great if i could just apply an effect to them.

Evasion is hardcoded, so if you wanted to alter it to another ability score that would have to be coded manually.

Hi Rob. Looking forward to this and it’s been well recommended!

As a FG noobie, will installing (and re-installing with any future updates) affect any of my own Custom Effects?

E.g., if I have 5 of my own custom effects, how are they effected, if at all by installing this?

(My guess is no effect, as they are probably stored in two different files, but thought I’d check. Thanks!)

Sorry Rob T...But I am just not up to speed on how this downloading works. I have purchased this product...hit the red download button in my dungeon masters guild library...but I do not see the conditions and effects in my fantasy grounds modules library to load? Please Help.

Yes, put this .mod file in your "C: Users YOURNAME AppData Roaming Fantasy Grounds modules" folder (slashes don't show visibly here for some reason). This assumes you are a Windows native FG user. If you use Mac, or Steam I'm not sure what the path will be, but you should be able to find it. Once you put this file there, start FG, and then when you click the little zombie icon on the upper right (Effects) you'll see everything.

Rob, yes I am using windows. I see what I did wrong. I dropped it in to the "C: Users MYNAME AppData Roaming Fantasy Grounds" but not in the modules folder. It is working now. I am an idiot. I also downloaded D&D Solo Adventure: The Death Knight's Squire Fantasy Grounds and it is working as well (love the game).

I was looking for some thing for my Necromancy Grim Harvest (Once per turn when you kill one or more creatures with a spell of 1st level or higher. you regain hit points equal to twice the spell's level, or three times its level if the spell belongs to the School of Necromancy.) I did not see it in the conditions and effects list.

Ya, unfortunately, there is NO WAY to code that with automation in FG. DM just has to do that manually.

Hey Gabriel, thanX for the question. Yes. This is for applying things to the combat tracker, so mainly for NPCs as opposed to PCs which is what the coding packs are for. So it is different and quite useful for players and DMs.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
