1,000 Rooms of Madness

ADD TO WISHLIST >

An endless labyrinth of possibilities.

The adventurers open the door at last, into the dread reach of the dungeon which you have not had time to design yet.  And there, to their ultimate bafflement, they discover … what?

This supplement includes 1,000 random dungeon room concepts for your use in any creative endeavor.  This resource will always help you, and energize your own ideas, whenever you need a new room concept for any dungeon, enchanted stronghold, or subterranean locale.

Simply roll and go!  These rooms were generated by supplement DC2, Random Dungeon Room Generator, and then each entry was individually refined.  I hope that you enjoy these ideas and find them useful.

From Kent David Kelly and Wonderland Imprints - Only the Finest Works of Fantasy.

This is weak. Don't buy this if you were looking for fully fleshed-out rooms. This is a list of fantasy room titles, leaving it up to you to figure out what "The Misericorde of the Fell Hatchling" is or what the heck "the Nymphaeum of the Shuddering Ones" has inside it.

Hello! I am interested in your book but all I can see is the index! Do you have an actual room in the book for the suggestions? Are there just names? Thanks!

I am also curious to see this. The only thing in the preview is part of the index. I would like to at least see a sample room before I purchase. Thanks.

Hi there Ryan, good to hear from you. Sorry that the preview is giving you difficulties. I just tested on my computer and I am able to see pages 1-12 in both quick and full preview, but I will keep an eye out to see if anyone else reports difficulties with the view on their own end.

The rooms in the D1000 table are title concepts, not descriptions. But I've included the first 50 results so that you can see if it's what you're looking for. Hope that helps!

001-050:
Cube of the Faceless Ones, The Crone’s Tenebrous Fastness, Dread Vault of the Mummy Lord, The Lazarette of Decrepitude, The Syenite Foundry, Great Hall of the Deva Lord, Court of the Juggernaut, Strongroom of the Vorpal Blade, The Statue Gallery of Imprisonment, Horologium of the Dungeon Beast, The Intersection of the Vultures, The Impious Kennel, Priest Hole of the Shadow Demon, The Disintegrating Auditorium, The Boreal Statuary, Planar Enclosure, The Shoggoth Cesspit, The Undiscovered Keep, Fane of the Matriarch,...See more

I bought this, and it's only the cover page. No content. What gives?

Hi there, the main PDF file did not upload correctly the first time. I've re-uploaded it now and it should be available in the download update. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Your preview does not work. I was interested in possibly purchasing this, but held off until I could see what it looks like.

Hi, it looks like the main text file did not upload correctly in the first publication. I've re-uploaded which will hopefully fix the preview.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
